autodream-brain-syncCopies each Claude Code memory file write to Open Brain through an MCP tool so memories reach other AI clients and devices.
Claude Code's auto-memory saves memories to local files under `.claude/projects/*/memory/`, where only that machine's Claude Code can see them. This skill adds a step after each such write: the agent saves the file and updates the `MEMORY.md` index as usual, then immediately calls `mcp__open-brain__capture_thought` with the memory content, prefixed with its type in brackets such as feedback and with the project name when relevant.
Guard rails keep it tidy: the `MEMORY.md` index is never captured, updated memories are captured again and left to Open Brain to deduplicate through embeddings, a failed capture never blocks the local save and is only noted, and anything the memory system says not to save is not sent either. Triggers include memory writes, autodream or dreaming, `/memory` and requests like remember this. Other clients capture directly, so the skill is specific to Claude Code.

Autodream Brain Sync loads about 705 tokens when it runs. Until then it costs about 136 tokens; SKILL.md has 307 words of instructions outside code blocks.
Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.
The automated check found no risky patterns in SKILL.md.
Automated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); files beside SKILL.md are not scanned.
Its licence (Custom licence) doesn't allow us to republish the file, so here is its outline and opening line. It has 307 words (~705 tokens).
“Claude Code's auto-memory system (dreaming/autodream) saves memories to local files under .claude/projects/*/memory/. These files are only accessible to Claude Code on the same machine. If you use multiple AI clients (ChatGPT, Claude Desktop, Codex) or multiple devices, those memories are…”

MemPalace/mempalace
Installs and configures MemPalace as a private local palace, a shared-brain hub or a client of an existing hub, including MCP registration and version-correct initialization.
rohitg00/agentmemory
Sets up and troubleshoots a local agentmemory install, covering the MCP connection, environment variables, ports, authentication and optional feature flags.
breferrari/obsidian-mind
Search the vault using QMD semantic search. An agent skill from breferrari/obsidian-mind.
MemoriLabs/Memori
Teaches an MCP-connected agent when and how to call Memori's recall, summary, compaction, augmentation, feedback and quota tools to keep context across sessions.
mozilla-ai/cq
Queries a shared knowledge store before acting, proposes newly discovered insights, and confirms or flags existing entries, so agents stop rediscovering the same failures.
pacifio/atlas
Saves the decisions, facts, failures and architecture notes from a conversation into Atlas's shared memory so other agents and later sessions can reuse them.
NateBJones-Projects/OB1
Converts large PDF, DOCX, PPTX, XLSX and CSV files into markdown or CSV plus an index before the agent reads them, so tokens go to the compressed copy.
NateBJones-Projects/OB1
Pulls reusable knowledge out of work sessions and turns it into new skills, checking existing notes and skills first to avoid duplicates.
NateBJones-Projects/OB1
Fires a Stop hook that captures a Claude Code session transcript automatically when the session ends without a verbal wrap-up.
NateBJones-Projects/OB1
Captures and searches personal notes in a self-hosted Open Brain using plain curl calls over HTTP, for setups where MCP is disabled or blocked.
NateBJones-Projects/OB1
Processes voice transcripts and brain dumps in three phases, extracting every idea thread, evaluating the strongest and saving a permanent inventory and synthesis.
NateBJones-Projects/OB1
Designs, evaluates and improves the harness around an AI agent: tool permissions, approval gates, state, memory, evals and observability, with phased plans.

Autodream Brain Sync fits situations like: Claude Code saves a memory file and you want it available in other AI clients; keeping memories in sync across several devices; using autodream or explicit remember-this requests together with Open Brain.
Run `npx skills add NateBJones-Projects/OB1 --skill autodream-brain-sync -a claude-code`. Or copy the skill folder (skills/autodream-brain-sync in NateBJones-Projects/OB1) into .claude/skills/autodream-brain-sync in your project. Claude Code loads it when a task matches its description.

Cursor, Gemini CLI, GitHub Copilot and OpenCode also load SKILL.md folders. With the skills CLI, run `npx skills add NateBJones-Projects/OB1 --skill autodream-brain-sync -a cursor` (or -a gemini-cli, github-copilot or opencode for the others). SKILL.md names no scripts, command-line tools or credentials: Autodream Brain Sync is instructions for the agent only. Our summary lists: An Open Brain MCP server that exposes `capture_thought`; Claude Code's auto-memory directory.
SKILL.md contains no URLs. Any network use would come from the scripts or tools the agent runs. This is read from the text; nothing was executed.
Our automated static check of SKILL.md found no risky patterns, such as piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files or hidden Unicode. It is not a guarantee. Review the folder before installing.
Autodream Brain Sync has a licence file (the repository's licence) that doesn't match a standard licence. Read it on GitHub before reusing the skill.
About 705 tokens (SKILL.md is roughly 2.8k characters). Agents keep only the skill's name and description in context until a task matches; then they load SKILL.md in full.
