seedance-production-workflowPlan and carry a Seedance video from brief through references, storyboard, generation handoff, shot-level review, and targeted repair.
Seedance Production Workflow is an agent skill from LearnPrompt/awesome-seedance. Plan and carry a Seedance video from brief through references, storyboard, generation handoff, shot-level review, and targeted repair. Use for an end-to-end Seedance production request; use a narrower prompt skill for a single prompt.
Its SKILL.md is about 1.5k tokens, which your agent loads only when the skill is triggered. The skill folder holds 10 other files, including scripts and reference files (for example `agents/openai.yaml`, `references/deliverables.md` and `references/editable-template.md`).
It sits in Media & Creative, covering AI video generation and Comics and storyboards. It works with Seedance. The repository describes itself as: 🎬 Evidence-led Seedance 2.5 / 2.0 prompt library: 600+ cases traced to original posts, 260+ cross-model retest runs with public verdicts, 25 copy-ready templates, 50+… The licence is MIT.
3 steps, taken from the first numbered list in SKILL.md.
Read from SKILL.md and the folder at commit 6ce4592. It shows what the files ask for, not the result of running them.
Pre-approves nothing: there is no allowed-tools line, so your agent's usual permission prompts apply.
From allowed-tools in the SKILL.md frontmatter.
Ships 2 files in scripts/ (Python), which the agent can run.
From the folder's file list and the shell code blocks in SKILL.md.
No URLs in SKILL.md.

Names no API keys, tokens, secrets or passwords.
From names ending in _API_KEY, _TOKEN, _SECRET, _KEY or _PASSWORD in SKILL.md.
Seedance Production Workflow loads about 1.5k tokens when it runs, and up to ~4.2k if it reads all its reference files. Until then it costs about 66 tokens; SKILL.md has 762 words of instructions outside code blocks.
Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.
The automated check found no risky patterns in SKILL.md.
Automated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); the scripts in this folder are not scanned.

.claude/skills/seedance-production-workflow/SKILL.md (or your agent's skills folder). This skill also uses 7 other files; get the full folder from GitHub.Produce a traceable video package, not just a polished prompt. Distinguish planned, assets-ready, submitted, generated, and reviewed states. Never call a prompt or an unrun storyboard a completed video.
This Skill coordinates production and review. For case-backed prompt structure, use the repository's timeline, reference-image identity, or storyboard grid template when it fits. Those cases support the prompt structures; they do not prove that this end-to-end workflow improves final-video quality. Treat that as a test question.
Write brief.md, reference-map.md, plan.json, and the needed prompts in a project directory. Use the editable template to collect inputs and draft original prompts; use deliverable definitions for fields and state handoff. References need stable IDs, source/rights status, the properties they control, and properties they must not control. Do not copy a creator's complete published prompt into a new original case; cite an anchor case and adapt the structure.
For multi-shot work, each shot needs a start/end time, one visible action, a camera framing, entry state, exit state, and audio. Make the next shot start from the preceding exit state. For a threshold or object interaction, also fix the subject's side, camera side, contact point, and motion direction across the cut. Generate or request the character/product reference and storyboard; compare every panel against the written entry/exit states before sending them to Seedance. A panel that puts a person on the wrong side of a door can override a correct text prompt. If an image tool is unavailable, deliver exact image prompts and mark the images pending.
Run the scripts/validate_plan.py located beside this SKILL.md against <project>/plan.json using its absolute path. Resolve reported duration, order, or missing-reference errors before video generation. Visually check image identity and panel order as well; the script cannot judge those.
Return a copy-ready Seedance prompt plus an ordered reference upload map and actual settings. Explain which image controls identity, which controls storyboard/layout, and which controls motion, style, or audio. A storyboard grid is optional for simple shots. Keep text and visual instructions consistent.
When an authorized and available video tool/API exists, submit the request, save task ID and settings in run-manifest.json, retrieve the result, and inspect it. Generation can incur credits and may upload assets: obtain authorization for the actual service, assets, and spend before that external step. Never read or publish credentials. If there is no usable video tool, give exact UI handoff instructions and mark the project assets-ready, then resume QA when the user supplies the output.
Review the actual video using the QA rubric. Record failures with shot/time, observation, and narrow repair. Use local or timestamped edits when possible; otherwise revise only the faulty reference, panel, or shot prompt. Compare against the same model/settings when assessing an improvement. Respect the agreed retry or cost limit, and report remaining failures honestly.
If a local trim or other post-processing is selected, retain the unedited model output and record the source hash, edit operation, derived file, and time offset in the run manifest. Review the delivered edit as well as the source; never present an edited preview as a direct model generation.
Deliver the video or generation handoff, input manifest, storyboard/shot list, prompt, model/settings, QA record, and provenance. Keep personal source media and credentials out of public Git. If the user later requests a case PR, verify the original public post, exact published prompt, matching media, date, creator, model, and repository submission rules. A workflow Skill PR follows a different path; see the repository's current contributing.md before editing it.

Going by SKILL.md and its folder, Seedance Production Workflow needs Python for the scripts in its folder. Our summary lists: Python 3.
SKILL.md contains no URLs. Any network use would come from the scripts or tools the agent runs. This is read from the text; nothing was executed.
Our automated static check of SKILL.md found no risky patterns, such as piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files or hidden Unicode. It is not a guarantee. The check reads SKILL.md only: the scripts in the folder are not scanned, so read them before running anything.
Seedance Production Workflow is published under the MIT licence (the repository's licence). It allows redistribution, so the full SKILL.md is shown on this page.
About 1.5k tokens (SKILL.md is roughly 5.9k characters). Agents keep only the skill's name and description in context until a task matches; then they load SKILL.md in full. Its references folder adds about 2.7k tokens, read only when the agent opens those files.
