korea-marketFetches KOSPI, KOSDAQ, SK Hynix and Samsung quotes from Yahoo Finance and runs a capitulation-reversal test on Korean chip-stock selloffs.
This skill pulls Korean market quotes for KOSPI, KOSDAQ, SK Hynix and Samsung straight from the Yahoo Finance chart API. A Python helper, scripts/quote.py, needs only the standard library and goes through a shared client with caching and throttling. Flags include a connectivity self-test and one that bypasses the five-minute cache for intraday use.
It exists because another data source in the same repo, Longbridge, does not cover the Korea Exchange, and the usual workaround of reading US-listed Korea ETFs misleads: they carry currency effects and stay frozen while Seoul is still trading. The rule the skill states is to read Korea directly when the question is about Korea, which matters for US memory and storage names that follow Korea's lead.
Its main output is a capitulation-reversal test. Because a capitulation low by definition prints a new low, the skill warns against waiting for two sessions without one, and looks for exhaustion instead: the heaviest selling into a new low, followed by buyers taking the other side.
Read from SKILL.md and the folder at commit 8fa9a03. It shows what the files ask for, not the result of running them.

Korea Market Quotes loads about 1.7k tokens when it runs. Until then it costs about 108 tokens; SKILL.md has 752 words of instructions outside code blocks.
Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.
The automated check found no risky patterns in SKILL.md.
Automated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); the scripts in this folder are not scanned.
Its licence (Custom licence) doesn't allow us to republish the file, so here is its outline and opening line. It has 752 words (~1,675 tokens).
“Korean quotes + a capitulation-reversal test, from the Yahoo Finance chart API. Stdlib only, no third-party deps, goes through _shared/client.py (cache + throttle + output contract).”

Going by SKILL.md and its folder, Korea Market Quotes needs Python for the scripts in its folder and the command-line tools its instructions call (python3). Our summary lists: Python 3 (standard library only); Network access to the Yahoo Finance chart API.
SKILL.md contains no URLs. Any network use would come from the scripts or tools the agent runs. This is read from the text; nothing was executed.
Our automated static check of SKILL.md found no risky patterns, such as piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files or hidden Unicode. It is not a guarantee. The check reads SKILL.md only: the scripts in the folder are not scanned, so read them before running anything.
Korea Market Quotes has a licence file (the repository's licence) that doesn't match a standard licence. Read it on GitHub before reusing the skill.
About 1.7k tokens (SKILL.md is roughly 6.7k characters). Agents keep only the skill's name and description in context until a task matches; then they load SKILL.md in full.
