What it does
This skill edits the language of an existing draft while keeping the author's meaning intact. It repairs grammar, clarifies sentences, makes phrasing idiomatic, strips AI-sounding tone and rewrites Chinese drafts into English suited to journal submission, acting like a patient senior advisor rather than a co-author.
Faithfulness to the author outranks everything else. Pure language edits, such as grammar, word order and smoother phrasing with identical meaning, are made freely. Any edit that might touch meaning is either skipped or made and flagged for you to confirm. That includes strengthening or weakening a conclusion, turning correlation into causation, dropping qualifiers like on this dataset, or cutting an argument. The skill never fabricates data, citations or claims.
Reference files cover an academic phrasebank, AI-tone guardrails and section conventions. It is not for writing from an idea (paper-writer or intro-drafter), planning the paper's logic (tech-paper-template) or reviewer-style audits (pre-submission-reviewer). The licence is CC-BY-NC-SA-4.0, which restricts commercial use.
