agtx-reviewSelf-reviews completed work in an agtx-managed task for correctness, edge cases and code quality, fixes issues, commits and writes .agtx/review.md with a status.
This skill runs the review phase of an agtx-managed task. The agent picks its scope: if .agtx/reviewed-at exists, it reviews only changes since that commit and checks that the points in the previous review were addressed. Otherwise it reviews everything done during execution with git diff HEAD and the commits since the merge base with origin/HEAD, never diffing against main, and reads untracked files in full. It checks correctness and edge cases, error handling, style consistency, test coverage and security issues such as injection and XSS.
Issues it finds are fixed and committed with a clean git status, because uncommitted work is destroyed at task completion and the merge is blocked until the tree is clean. The review goes to .agtx/review.md in the working directory, with a Review section of findings and a Status of READY or NEEDS_WORK with the remaining issues. The agent then says the review was written and stops to wait. Its output style is terse, with fragments allowed and one-line status updates.
4 steps, taken from the first numbered list in SKILL.md.
Read from SKILL.md and the folder at commit 8ae6868. It shows what the files ask for, not the result of running them.
Pre-approves nothing: there is no allowed-tools line, so your agent's usual permission prompts apply.
From allowed-tools in the SKILL.md frontmatter.
Shell commands in SKILL.md call:
gitFrom the folder's file list and the shell code blocks in SKILL.md.
No URLs in SKILL.md. Its commands use git, which can reach the network depending on how they are called.
From URLs in SKILL.md, links to its own repository left out.
Names no API keys, tokens, secrets or passwords.
From names ending in _API_KEY, _TOKEN, _SECRET, _KEY or _PASSWORD in SKILL.md.
agtx Review Phase loads about 475 tokens when it runs. Until then it costs about 34 tokens; SKILL.md has 240 words of instructions outside code blocks.
Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.
The automated check found no risky patterns in SKILL.md.
Automated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); files beside SKILL.md are not scanned.

.agtx/reviewed-at exists, a prior review covered everything up to that commit: review git diff $(cat .agtx/reviewed-at)..HEAD plus git status --short for uncommitted work, and read the prior .agtx/review.md — check its points were addressed, don't re-review the branch. Otherwise review all changes made during execution: git diff HEAD (staged+unstaged) and git log --oneline $(git merge-base HEAD origin/HEAD)..HEAD for your commits. Do NOT diff against main or origin/main — those may include unrelated upstream history. Either way ?? lines in git status --short are untracked files that git diff never shows — read them in full.git add -A, commit, verify git status --short clean. Uncommitted = destroyed at task completion; merge is blocked until clean.Write your review to .agtx/review.md in the current working directory with these sections:
Findings from your review — what looks good, what was fixed, any concerns.
Either READY (good to merge) or NEEDS_WORK (with explanation of remaining issues).
After writing .agtx/review.md (in the current working directory):

x-tools-author/x-tools
Read-only review of Qt6 C++ code that combines a deterministic lint script with six parallel analysis agents and reports only high-confidence issues.
302ai/302-AI-Studio
Adversarial code review that breaks the self-review monoculture.
dataelement/bisheng
Runs a seven-dimension code review on a finished feature, comparing the diff against a base branch and the feature's spec, design and task files.
rengwu/wayfinder-maps
Reviews the changes since a commit, branch or tag along two separate axes: the repo's documented coding standards and fidelity to the originating spec or PRD.
alirezarezvani/claude-code-tresor
Automatic code quality and best practices analysis. An agent skill from alirezarezvani/claude-code-tresor.
MageByte-Zero/spec-superflow
Review completed implementation batches for spec compliance and code quality.
fynnfluegge/agtx
Runs a whole project unattended on an agtx kanban board, decomposing the goal, starting tasks, unblocking workers and merging each result.
fynnfluegge/agtx
Breaks a conversation's results into feature-level tasks and pushes them to the agtx kanban board, where each task gets its own worktree and agent session.
fynnfluegge/agtx
Carries out an approved plan for an agtx-managed task: implements the changes, runs tests, commits, writes a summary to .agtx/execute.md and then stops.
fynnfluegge/agtx
Analyzes the codebase for an agtx task, writes a plan with analysis, steps and risks to .agtx/plan.md, then stops and waits for approval before any change.
fynnfluegge/agtx
Explore the codebase to understand a task before planning. An agent skill from fynnfluegge/agtx.
fynnfluegge/agtx
Puts the agent in a discussion-only mode for exploring a feature idea, asking questions and probing trade-offs without planning or writing code.

Run `npx skills add fynnfluegge/agtx --skill agtx-review -a claude-code`. Or copy the skill folder (plugins/agtx-terse/skills/agtx-review in fynnfluegge/agtx) into .claude/skills/agtx-review in your project. Claude Code loads it when a task matches its description.

Cursor, Gemini CLI, GitHub Copilot and OpenCode also load SKILL.md folders. With the skills CLI, run `npx skills add fynnfluegge/agtx --skill agtx-review -a cursor` (or -a gemini-cli, github-copilot or opencode for the others). To copy it by hand, put the folder in .cursor/skills/agtx-review, .gemini/skills/agtx-review, .github/skills/agtx-review and .opencode/skills/agtx-review in your project.
Going by SKILL.md and its folder, agtx Review Phase needs the command-line tools its instructions call (git). Our summary lists: An agtx-managed task with a git working tree.
SKILL.md contains no URLs. Its commands use git, which can reach the network depending on how they are called. This is read from the text; nothing was executed.
Our automated static check of SKILL.md found no risky patterns, such as piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files or hidden Unicode. It is not a guarantee. Review the folder before installing.
agtx Review Phase is published under the Apache-2.0 licence (the repository's licence). It allows redistribution, so the full SKILL.md is shown on this page.
About 475 tokens (SKILL.md is roughly 1.9k characters). Agents keep only the skill's name and description in context until a task matches; then they load SKILL.md in full.
