competitive-analysisProduces product-manager competitive analysis reports in Chinese, with a confirm-first scoping gate, three-phase evidence collection and single or multi-product modes.
This skill produces competitive analysis reports from a product manager's viewpoint, written in Chinese. It draws on classic frameworks such as PEST, the business model canvas, KANO and SWOT, works for any industry and offers a quick and a deep mode. Its first step is a hard gate: before any searching, you must confirm the mode (single-product teardown or multi-product comparison), the industry, the analysis targets and the depth, plus an optional focus such as AI strategy or business model. The agent never chooses the competitor list for you.
After confirmation, collection runs in three phases: crawling the official site to build a link map, targeted searches to fill the gaps and dig into thinly described features, and mining documents such as PDF, DOCX and PPTX by converting them to Markdown first. Raw pages are saved to disk and summarized one by one, then merged into a single file organized by analysis dimension, which becomes the main input for writing. Reference files cover data collection, frameworks and diagrams. If the agent spots an important missing competitor it tells you rather than adding it.

Read from SKILL.md and the folder at commit 9d753b2. It shows what the files ask for, not the result of running them.
Pre-approves nothing: there is no allowed-tools line, so your agent's usual permission prompts apply.

No scripts in the folder and no shell commands in SKILL.md.
From the folder's file list and the shell code blocks in SKILL.md.
No URLs in SKILL.md.

Names no API keys, tokens, secrets or passwords.

Product Competitive Analysis loads about 1.2k tokens when it runs, and up to ~12k if it reads all its reference files. Until then it costs about 51 tokens; SKILL.md has 310 words of instructions outside code blocks.
Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.
The automated check found no risky patterns in SKILL.md.
Automated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); files beside SKILL.md are not scanned.
Without a licence we can't republish the file, so here is its outline and opening line. It has 310 words (~1,247 tokens).

Run `npx skills add Fokkyp/claude-skills --skill competitive-analysis -a claude-code`. Or copy the skill folder (competitive-analysis in Fokkyp/claude-skills) into .claude/skills/competitive-analysis in your project. Claude Code loads it when a task matches its description.
Run `npx skills add Fokkyp/claude-skills --skill competitive-analysis -a codex`. Or copy the skill folder (competitive-analysis in Fokkyp/claude-skills) into .agents/skills/competitive-analysis in your project. Codex loads it when a task matches its description.
Cursor, Gemini CLI, GitHub Copilot and OpenCode also load SKILL.md folders. With the skills CLI, run `npx skills add Fokkyp/claude-skills --skill competitive-analysis -a cursor` (or -a gemini-cli, github-copilot or opencode for the others). To copy it by hand, put the folder in .cursor/skills/competitive-analysis, .gemini/skills/competitive-analysis, .github/skills/competitive-analysis and .opencode/skills/competitive-analysis in your project.
SKILL.md names no scripts, command-line tools or credentials: Product Competitive Analysis is instructions for the agent only. Our summary lists: Web search and scraping tools such as scrape_as_html and search_engine.
SKILL.md contains no URLs. Any network use would come from the scripts or tools the agent runs. This is read from the text; nothing was executed.
Our automated static check of SKILL.md found no risky patterns, such as piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files or hidden Unicode. It is not a guarantee. Review the folder before installing.
No licence was found for Product Competitive Analysis or its repository. Without one, default copyright applies: ask the author before reusing or redistributing it.
About 1.2k tokens (SKILL.md is roughly 5k characters). Agents keep only the skill's name and description in context until a task matches; then they load SKILL.md in full. Its references folder adds about 11k tokens, read only when the agent opens those files.
Skills that share tags, products or a category with Product Competitive Analysis: Product Discovery (majiayu000/spellbook, 286 stars), Startup Design (ferdinandobons/startup-skill, 1.2k stars), Hehe Business Model (hexiaofeier/hehe-industry-research-skill-pack, 302 stars) and Product Development (gustavscirulis/snapgrid, 117 stars).
