prd-generatorGuides a product manager from a rough idea to a structured PRD through interview questions, competitor research, module feedback and iterative revision.
The skill acts as a writing partner for product requirement documents. It first asks about the product, its target users, business and user goals, reference competitors, whether this is a new product or a feature iteration, and how detailed the document should be. It then collects information module by module under an outline kept in a prd folder as prd-draft.md.
Later steps include searching for competitors and summarizing their strengths, weaknesses and takeaways, drawing feature flowcharts in Mermaid, reviewing each finished module with suggestions, and expanding thin sections such as background, user scenarios and exception cases. At the end it assembles the full PRD plus a review checklist for completeness. The SKILL.md and its example prompts are written in Chinese, with an AI meeting-minutes tool as the running example.
7 steps, taken from the step headings in SKILL.md.
Read from SKILL.md and the folder at commit 9d753b2. It shows what the files ask for, not the result of running them.
Pre-approves nothing: there is no allowed-tools line, so your agent's usual permission prompts apply.

No scripts in the folder and no shell commands in SKILL.md (its code samples are markdown).

PRD Generator loads about 1.9k tokens when it runs. Until then it costs about 20 tokens; SKILL.md has 184 words of instructions outside code blocks.
Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.
The automated check found no risky patterns in SKILL.md.
Automated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); files beside SKILL.md are not scanned.
Without a licence we can't republish the file, so here is its outline and opening line. It has 184 words (~1,899 tokens).

The skill acts as a writing partner for product requirement documents. It first asks about the product, its target users, business and user goals, reference competitors, whether this is a new product or a feature iteration, and how detailed the document should be.
PRD Generator fits situations like: starting a PRD for a new product or feature from a vague idea; adding competitor research to a requirements document; filling in pain points, scenarios and exception cases module by module; preparing a PRD for a review meeting.
Run `npx skills add Fokkyp/claude-skills --skill prd-generator -a claude-code`. Or copy the skill folder (prd-generator in Fokkyp/claude-skills) into .claude/skills/prd-generator in your project. Claude Code loads it when a task matches its description.
Run `npx skills add Fokkyp/claude-skills --skill prd-generator -a codex`. Or copy the skill folder (prd-generator in Fokkyp/claude-skills) into .agents/skills/prd-generator in your project. Codex loads it when a task matches its description.
Cursor, Gemini CLI, GitHub Copilot and OpenCode also load SKILL.md folders. With the skills CLI, run `npx skills add Fokkyp/claude-skills --skill prd-generator -a cursor` (or -a gemini-cli, github-copilot or opencode for the others). To copy it by hand, put the folder in .cursor/skills/prd-generator, .gemini/skills/prd-generator, .github/skills/prd-generator and .opencode/skills/prd-generator in your project.
SKILL.md names no scripts, command-line tools or credentials: PRD Generator is instructions for the agent only.
SKILL.md contains no URLs. Any network use would come from the scripts or tools the agent runs. This is read from the text; nothing was executed.
Our automated static check of SKILL.md found no risky patterns, such as piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files or hidden Unicode. It is not a guarantee. Review the folder before installing.
No licence was found for PRD Generator or its repository. Without one, default copyright applies: ask the author before reusing or redistributing it.
About 1.9k tokens (SKILL.md is roughly 7.6k characters). Agents keep only the skill's name and description in context until a task matches; then they load SKILL.md in full.
