code-checkRuns a user-invoked, swarm-style audit of a whole codebase for SOLID and DRY violations, code smells, complexity, dead code and pattern consistency, with a prioritized report.
This skill launches parallel worker-reviewer agents, one per audit dimension, to review a codebase as a whole rather than one diff at a time. The dimensions are SOLID and DRY violations, checked against the project's own code-quality rules file and, for duplication, with AST-based tools like jscpd rather than plain grep patterns; code smells from Fowler's catalog such as long methods, large classes, feature envy, data clumps and primitive obsession; and pattern consistency across error handling, async usage, naming, imports and type versus interface usage.
It also covers cyclomatic complexity and function or class size, measured with language-appropriate tools such as radon for Python, gocyclo for Go or cargo-geiger for Rust, and dead code, found with tools like knip or depcheck for TypeScript, vulture for Python, or cargo-udeps for Rust, verified before deletion because dynamic imports can produce false positives.
A scope-adherence dimension reapplies a sibling skill's review lens, normally used per diff, across the whole codebase instead, watching for unrequested refactors, drive-by edits and orphaned dead code, deferring to that sibling skill for the full perspective rather than restating it; workers can also use a sequential-thinking MCP tool for complex trade-off analysis. The result is a prioritized findings report with remediation suggestions, assembled into a single Codebase Health Report.
6 steps, taken from the first numbered list in SKILL.md.
Read from SKILL.md and the folder at commit 6436a20. It shows what the files ask for, not the result of running them.
Pre-approves nothing: there is no allowed-tools line, so your agent's usual permission prompts apply.
From allowed-tools in the SKILL.md frontmatter.
No scripts in the folder and no shell commands in SKILL.md (its code samples are markdown).
From the folder's file list and the shell code blocks in SKILL.md.
No URLs in SKILL.md.
From URLs in SKILL.md, links to its own repository left out.
Names no API keys, tokens, secrets or passwords.
From names ending in _API_KEY, _TOKEN, _SECRET, _KEY or _PASSWORD in SKILL.md.
Codebase Health Auditor loads about 980 tokens when it runs. Until then it costs about 32 tokens; SKILL.md has 358 words of instructions outside code blocks.
Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.
The automated check found no risky patterns in SKILL.md.
Automated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); files beside SKILL.md are not scanned.
Without a licence we can't republish the file, so here is its outline and opening line. It has 358 words (~980 tokens).
“Regular codebase review for Clean Code, SOLID, DRY principles and consistency.”

ailabs-393/ai-labs-claude-skills
This skill should be used when analyzing technical debt in a codebase, documenting code quality issues, creating technical debt registers, or assessing code maintainability.
tailcallhq/forgecode
Finds every FIXME comment in a codebase, groups related ones across files into one task, implements the work they describe and removes the comments once it is done.
Git-on-my-level/codex-autorunner
Codebase health scanner and technical debt tracker. An agent skill from Git-on-my-level/codex-autorunner.
fengshao1227/ccg-workflow
Scans code for complexity, long functions, duplicated blocks, naming problems and code smells with a Node script, then reports and suggests refactors.
dralgorhythm/claude-agentic-framework
Rules for several agents sharing one repository: an orchestrator tracks work in two tiers, workers write to scratch files, and every handoff leaves a pointer to an artifact.
dralgorhythm/claude-agentic-framework
Finds security threats in a design with a STRIDE pass per component, rates severity and records fixes, with extra checks for AI agent and tool risks.
dralgorhythm/claude-agentic-framework
Writes Architecture Decision Records with title, status, context, decision, rationale and consequences for significant technical choices, kept short and numbered.
dralgorhythm/claude-agentic-framework
Sequences safe dependency upgrades: read the changelog, verify the version exists upstream, pin it, and keep major bumps in separate commits behind a full gate run.

Codebase Health Auditor fits situations like: running a periodic health check across an entire codebase; finding SOLID and DRY violations beyond what a single PR diff would show; locating dead code and unused exports safely, with false positives checked; auditing consistency of error handling, naming and async patterns project-wide.
Run `npx skills add dralgorhythm/claude-agentic-framework --skill code-check -a claude-code`. Or copy the skill folder (.claude/skills/code-check in dralgorhythm/claude-agentic-framework) into .claude/skills/code-check in your project. Claude Code loads it when a task matches its description.

Cursor, Gemini CLI, GitHub Copilot and OpenCode also load SKILL.md folders. With the skills CLI, run `npx skills add dralgorhythm/claude-agentic-framework --skill code-check -a cursor` (or -a gemini-cli, github-copilot or opencode for the others). SKILL.md names no scripts, command-line tools or credentials: Codebase Health Auditor is instructions for the agent only. Our summary lists: Language-appropriate static analysis tools such as jscpd, radon, gocyclo or cargo-geiger; A multi-agent runner able to launch parallel worker-reviewer agents.
SKILL.md contains no URLs. Any network use would come from the scripts or tools the agent runs. This is read from the text; nothing was executed.
Our automated static check of SKILL.md found no risky patterns, such as piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files or hidden Unicode. It is not a guarantee. Review the folder before installing.
No licence was found for Codebase Health Auditor or its repository. Without one, default copyright applies: ask the author before reusing or redistributing it.
About 980 tokens (SKILL.md is roughly 3.9k characters). Agents keep only the skill's name and description in context until a task matches; then they load SKILL.md in full.
