saas-revenue-growth-metricsExplains and calculates SaaS revenue, retention and growth metrics such as MRR, ARPU, GRR and NRR, to read momentum, churn and product-market-fit signals.
This is a framework for product managers to learn which metrics matter, how to compute them and what to do with the numbers, not a business intelligence tool. The revenue family covers revenue itself, ARPU as revenue per user and ARPA as MRR over active accounts, each with why PMs care, a formula and a benchmark note, such as B2C ARPU of roughly 5 to 50 dollars a month against 50 to 500 or more for B2B.
You bring a question, such as whether growth is healthy or churn is a problem, or numbers like MRR or ARR, growth rate, GRR, NRR, expansion and cohort data. Partial data is workable, and without input the skill acts as a reference to read by diagnosis. Included are a template and two example files, one showing a healthy SaaS and one showing warning signs.
4 steps, taken from the step headings in SKILL.md.
Read from SKILL.md and the folder at commit 1b5a524. It shows what the files ask for, not the result of running them.
Pre-approves nothing: there is no allowed-tools line, so your agent's usual permission prompts apply.
From allowed-tools in the SKILL.md frontmatter.
No scripts in the folder and no shell commands in SKILL.md.
From the folder's file list and the shell code blocks in SKILL.md.

Names no API keys, tokens, secrets or passwords.

SaaS Revenue and Growth Metrics loads about 5.8k tokens when it runs. Until then it costs about 40 tokens; SKILL.md has 2,702 words of instructions outside code blocks.
Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.
The automated check found no risky patterns in SKILL.md.
Automated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); files beside SKILL.md are not scanned.
Its licence (Custom licence) doesn't allow us to republish the file, so here is its outline and opening line. It has 2,702 words (~5,758 tokens).
“Master revenue and retention metrics to understand SaaS business momentum, evaluate product-market fit, and make data-driven decisions about growth investments. Use this to calculate key metrics, interpret trends, identify problems early, and communicate business health to stakeholders.”

SKILL.md names no scripts, command-line tools or credentials: SaaS Revenue and Growth Metrics is instructions for the agent only.
SKILL.md contains no URLs. Any network use would come from the scripts or tools the agent runs. This is read from the text; nothing was executed.
Our automated static check of SKILL.md found no risky patterns, such as piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files or hidden Unicode. It is not a guarantee. Review the folder before installing.
SaaS Revenue and Growth Metrics has a licence file (the repository's licence) that doesn't match a standard licence. Read it on GitHub before reusing the skill.
About 5.8k tokens (SKILL.md is roughly 23k characters). Agents keep only the skill's name and description in context until a task matches; then they load SKILL.md in full.
