feature-investment-advisorEvaluates whether a feature deserves investment by weighing revenue connection, cost structure, ROI and strategic value, then gives a build or don't-build recommendation.
The advisor looks at a feature through four lenses. Revenue connection is either direct monetization, like a new tier or add-on, or indirect through retention, conversion and expansion. Cost structure is one-time development plus ongoing COGS and OpEx. ROI is revenue impact over development cost, or LTV impact across the customer base for retention features, with gross margin factored in. Strategic value can override pure ROI, for instance competitive moat, platform enabling, market positioning and risk reduction.
It ends with a build or don't-build recommendation backed by the math. The skill describes itself as a financial lens that complements prioritization methods such as RICE, value versus effort and user research, for decisions where money is a key factor. You give the feature in a sentence or two, plus its revenue connection, rough cost inputs and the strategic argument behind it. An example conversation flow file is included.

Read from SKILL.md and the folder at commit 1b5a524. It shows what the files ask for, not the result of running them.
Pre-approves nothing: there is no allowed-tools line, so your agent's usual permission prompts apply.

Feature Investment Advisor loads about 5.6k tokens when it runs. Until then it costs about 42 tokens; SKILL.md has 2,747 words of instructions outside code blocks.
Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.
The automated check found no risky patterns in SKILL.md.
Automated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); files beside SKILL.md are not scanned.
Its licence (Custom licence) doesn't allow us to republish the file, so here is its outline and opening line. It has 2,747 words (~5,601 tokens).
“Guide product managers through evaluating whether to build a feature based on financial impact analysis. Use this to make data-driven prioritization decisions by assessing revenue connection (direct or indirect), cost structure (dev + COGS + OpEx), ROI calculation, and strategic…”

Evaluates whether a feature deserves investment by weighing revenue connection, cost structure, ROI and strategic value, then gives a build or don't-build recommendation. The advisor looks at a feature through four lenses. Revenue connection is either direct monetization, like a new tier or add-on, or indirect through retention, conversion and expansion.
Feature Investment Advisor fits situations like: deciding whether a feature is worth building from a financial standpoint; testing a claim that a feature will unblock enterprise deals; comparing direct and indirect revenue impact against development and support costs.

SKILL.md names no scripts, command-line tools or credentials: Feature Investment Advisor is instructions for the agent only.
SKILL.md contains no URLs. Any network use would come from the scripts or tools the agent runs. This is read from the text; nothing was executed.
Our automated static check of SKILL.md found no risky patterns, such as piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files or hidden Unicode. It is not a guarantee. Review the folder before installing.
Feature Investment Advisor has a licence file (the repository's licence) that doesn't match a standard licence. Read it on GitHub before reusing the skill.
About 5.6k tokens (SKILL.md is roughly 22k characters). Agents keep only the skill's name and description in context until a task matches; then they load SKILL.md in full.
