customer-journey-mapBuilds a stage-by-stage customer journey map covering actions, touchpoints, emotions, KPIs, goals, and owning teams for one persona and scenario.
This skill lays out a journey across five horizontal stages adapted from NNGroup's framework and Carnegie Mellon's PM curriculum: awareness, consideration, decision, service, and loyalty. For each stage it documents customer actions, touchpoints, the customer's emotions and thoughts, the KPIs that measure success, the business goals behind the stage, and which team owns it.
It asks for a specific persona and scenario before building anything, since a map without an actor and a goal collapses into a generic funnel diagram, though anything already supplied in the invocation is used as given rather than re-asked. A template file and worked examples ship alongside it for reference.

Read from SKILL.md and the folder at commit 1b5a524. It shows what the files ask for, not the result of running them.
Pre-approves nothing: there is no allowed-tools line, so your agent's usual permission prompts apply.

Customer Journey Map Builder loads about 3.7k tokens when it runs. Until then it costs about 49 tokens; SKILL.md has 1,381 words of instructions outside code blocks.
Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.
The automated check found no risky patterns in SKILL.md.
Automated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); files beside SKILL.md are not scanned.
Its licence (Custom licence) doesn't allow us to republish the file, so here is its outline and opening line. It has 1,381 words (~3,724 tokens).
“Create a comprehensive customer journey map that visualizes how customers interact with your brand across all stages—from awareness to loyalty—documenting their actions, touchpoints, emotions, KPIs, business goals, and teams involved at each stage. Use this to identify pain points, align…”

Customer Journey Map Builder fits situations like: diagnosing where a customer's experience breaks down; aligning cross-functional teams on one shared view of the funnel; documenting touchpoints and emotions before a redesign.
Run `npx skills add deanpeters/Product-Manager-Skills --skill customer-journey-map -a claude-code`. Or copy the skill folder (skills/customer-journey-map in deanpeters/Product-Manager-Skills) into .claude/skills/customer-journey-map in your project. Claude Code loads it when a task matches its description.
Run `npx skills add deanpeters/Product-Manager-Skills --skill customer-journey-map -a codex`. Or copy the skill folder (skills/customer-journey-map in deanpeters/Product-Manager-Skills) into .agents/skills/customer-journey-map in your project. Codex loads it when a task matches its description.
Cursor, Gemini CLI, GitHub Copilot and OpenCode also load SKILL.md folders. With the skills CLI, run `npx skills add deanpeters/Product-Manager-Skills --skill customer-journey-map -a cursor` (or -a gemini-cli, github-copilot or opencode for the others). To copy it by hand, put the folder in .cursor/skills/customer-journey-map, .gemini/skills/customer-journey-map, .github/skills/customer-journey-map and .opencode/skills/customer-journey-map in your project.
SKILL.md names no scripts, command-line tools or credentials: Customer Journey Map Builder is instructions for the agent only.
SKILL.md names 1 domain. In commands or code: github.com; the agent is likely to contact it when it follows the instructions. This is read from the text; nothing was executed.
Our automated static check of SKILL.md found no risky patterns, such as piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files or hidden Unicode. It is not a guarantee. Review the folder before installing.
Customer Journey Map Builder has a licence file (the repository's licence) that doesn't match a standard licence. Read it on GitHub before reusing the skill.
About 3.7k tokens (SKILL.md is roughly 15k characters). Agents keep only the skill's name and description in context until a task matches; then they load SKILL.md in full.
