At a glance

Takes a task through to a merged pull request in an isolated git worktree, splitting it into small independent PRs and looping on CI and review gates until they pass.

  • Works in 5 steps: Setup → Implement → PR Creation → …
  • Implementing an issue end to end and landing it as a pull request
  • SKILL.md covers Phase 0: Setup, Phase 1: Implement, Phase 2: PR Creation and Phase 3: Verification Loop, plus 3 more sections
  • Calls gh, git and bun; reaches github.com

What it does

Each PR is built in its own fresh worktree, so your main working directory stays untouched. The skill first splits the task into the smallest PRs that each compile, pass and stand alone, builds independent ones in parallel with one background subagent or team member per PR, and stacks dependent ones. Implementation goes through the ulw-loop skill, with evidence-bound manual QA for each success criterion and atomic commits.

After the PR is opened with a reviewer-readable English description, an unbounded verification loop runs: CI and the Cubic review check must both pass, and Cubic is skipped only when its quota is used up. Any failing gate sends the agent back into that PR's worktree to fix and retest. Merging is the default outcome, followed by worktree cleanup.

When your agent uses it

  • Implementing an issue end to end and landing it as a pull request
  • Splitting a large task into several small, independently mergeable PRs
  • Building several independent PRs at once, each in its own worktree
  • Keeping work going until CI and review checks pass and the PR merges

Example prompts

  • “Implement the open issue about the broken CSV export and land it as a pull request.”
  • “Split the auth refactor into small atomic PRs and build the independent ones in parallel.”
  • “Work on the dark mode toggle and make a PR, then keep fixing until CI is green.”

Requirements

  • Git with worktree support
  • GitHub CLI (gh) logged in to the repository
  • The ulw-loop skill
  • CI checks configured on the repository

Workflow steps

5 steps, taken from the step headings in SKILL.md.

  1. Setup
  2. Implement
  3. PR Creation
  4. Verification Loop
  5. Merge & Cleanup

What it can do on your machine

Read from SKILL.md and the folder at commit cbd7dd2. It shows what the files ask for, not the result of running them.

  • Tool permissions

Pre-approves nothing: there is no allowed-tools line, so your agent's usual permission prompts apply.

From allowed-tools in the SKILL.md frontmatter.

  • Runs code

    Shell commands in SKILL.md call:

    • gh
    • git
    • bun

From the folder's file list and the shell code blocks in SKILL.md.

  • Network

Hosts in commands or code, which the agent is likely to contact:

    • github.com

From URLs in SKILL.md, links to its own repository left out.

  • Credentials

Names no API keys, tokens, secrets or passwords.

From names ending in _API_KEY, _TOKEN, _SECRET, _KEY or _PASSWORD in SKILL.md.

Context cost

Work With PR Lifecycle loads about 4.6k tokens when it runs. Until then it costs about 229 tokens; SKILL.md has 1,604 words of instructions outside code blocks.

Always · name and description, kept in context so the agent knows when to use it
~229
When it runs · the whole SKILL.md, loaded when a task matches
~4.6k

Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.

Safety

Auto-check passed

The automated check found no risky patterns in SKILL.md.

Automated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); files beside SKILL.md are not scanned.

SKILL.md

Its licence (Custom licence) doesn't allow us to republish the file, so here is its outline and opening line. It has 1,604 words (~4,636 tokens).

“You are executing a complete PR lifecycle: from fresh task-owned worktree setup, through ulw-loop-driven implementation with evidence-bound manual QA, PR creation, and an unbounded verification loop until the PR is merged. The loop has two gates — CI and Cubic…”
