At a glance

Runs a parallel security audit with three vulnerability hunters and two proof-of-concept engineers, rating each finding by whether it is actually exploitable.

  • Works in 5 steps: Scope and Baseline → Independent Hunter Pass → PoC Pass → …
  • Auditing a repository or branch diff for exploitable vulnerabilities
  • SKILL.md covers Hard Preconditions, Severity Standard, Team Roster and Workflow, plus 1 more section
  • Calls git

What it does

One team-mode run with five members is set up. Three hunters map entry points and trust boundaries, look for authentication, authorization, data isolation, injection and secret-handling flaws, and examine filesystem, subprocess, archive, dependency, hook, MCP and config risks. Two engineers then build minimal proofs of concept for the strongest candidates, with one of them independently trying to reproduce, falsify or downgrade each finding.

Findings use CWE for root-cause classification, kept separate from severity, with OWASP WSTG and ASVS as references and CVSS v4.0 for scoring. The rules include no severity without an attack path, no critical or high rating without concrete preconditions and impact, and no destructive exploits against real or third-party systems; local fixtures, toy payloads, dry runs or static proof are used instead. With no target given, it audits the current repository and its branch diff.

Team mode must be switched on in the oh-my-openagent config before it starts, and it has to run from the main session rather than a background subagent. Otherwise it stops and tells you what to change.

When your agent uses it

  • Auditing a repository or branch diff for exploitable vulnerabilities
  • Running a security check on a release candidate before shipping
  • Separating theoretical findings from ones with a working proof of concept
  • Validating a threat model against the actual code

Example prompts

  • “Start a security research audit on the current branch diff against main.”
  • “Do an exploitability audit of the auth and file-upload code under src/server.”
  • “Security review before the release: only report issues you can prove with a local proof of concept.”

Requirements

  • Team mode enabled in the oh-my-openagent config
  • A repository, diff range, PR or path list to audit

Workflow steps

5 steps, taken from the step headings in SKILL.md.

  1. Scope and Baseline
  2. Independent Hunter Pass
  3. PoC Pass
  4. Cross-Check
  5. Final Report

What it can do on your machine

Read from SKILL.md and the folder at commit cbd7dd2. It shows what the files ask for, not the result of running them.

  • Tool permissions

Pre-approves nothing: there is no allowed-tools line, so your agent's usual permission prompts apply.

From allowed-tools in the SKILL.md frontmatter.

  • Runs code

    Shell commands in SKILL.md call:

    • git

From the folder's file list and the shell code blocks in SKILL.md.

  • Network

Links to these hosts (documentation or services it may open):

    • cwe.mitre.org
    • devguide.owasp.org
    • owasp.org
    • first.org

From URLs in SKILL.md, links to its own repository left out.

  • Credentials

Names no API keys, tokens, secrets or passwords.

From names ending in _API_KEY, _TOKEN, _SECRET, _KEY or _PASSWORD in SKILL.md.

Context cost

Security Research Team Audit loads about 1.9k tokens when it runs. Until then it costs about 131 tokens; SKILL.md has 547 words of instructions outside code blocks.

Always · name and description, kept in context so the agent knows when to use it
~131
When it runs · the whole SKILL.md, loaded when a task matches
~1.9k

Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.

Safety

Auto-check passed

The automated check found no risky patterns in SKILL.md.

Automated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); files beside SKILL.md are not scanned.

SKILL.md

Its licence (Custom licence) doesn't allow us to republish the file, so here is its outline and opening line. It has 547 words (~1,947 tokens).

“Use this skill to run a parallel security audit that separates real exploitability from generic concern. The team has 3 vulnerability hunters and 2 PoC engineers.”
