At a glance

Runs the first conversation for a new omo user: a feature tour, migration help, session history review, value estimates, memory notes and an init-deep proposal.

  • Works in 6 steps: Feature tour → Migration help → Session archaeology → …
  • A new user asks how to get started with omo
  • SKILL.md covers Purpose, 1. Feature tour, 2. Migration help and 3. Session archaeology, plus 3 more sections
  • Runs Shell scripts from its folder; calls git; reaches models.dev

What it does

Six lanes make up the first conversation: a feature tour, migration help, session archaeology, value mapping, memory recording and a first-session init-deep proposal, taken in that order. Memory recording runs the whole way through, three of the lanes are opt-in, and a declined lane is dropped without a second offer. The agent picks up your language from your first reply and keeps using it, tone included.

The tour is a catalog baked into the skill, presented three to five highlights at a time: an eleven-agent roster, the Senpi component layer, Senpi-native skills such as `init-deep` and `ultrawork`, and three tiers of MCP servers. The agent is asked to cite concrete figures from your own history instead of generic claims, and it is limited to Senpi's own tools: `read`, `bash`, `edit`, `write` and the memory tools. Two shell files, `qa-validator.sh` and `qa-savings-fixture.sh`, ship with it.

When your agent uses it

  • A new user asks how to get started with omo
  • Walking someone through omo's main features during their first session
  • Offering migration help and an init-deep proposal to a user who just installed omo

Example prompts

  • “I just installed omo. Where do I start?”
  • “Give me a quick tour of what omo adds over a plain coding agent.”
  • “Show me what omo could have saved across my recent sessions.”

Requirements

  • omo or senpi installed

Workflow steps

6 steps, taken from the step headings in SKILL.md.

  1. Feature tour
  2. Migration help
  3. Session archaeology
  4. Value mapping + savings
  5. Memory recording
  6. First-session init-deep proposal

What it can do on your machine

Read from SKILL.md and the folder at commit cbd7dd2. It shows what the files ask for, not the result of running them.

  • Tool permissions

Pre-approves nothing: there is no allowed-tools line, so your agent's usual permission prompts apply.

From allowed-tools in the SKILL.md frontmatter.

  • Runs code

Ships script files (Shell), which the agent can run.

    Shell commands in SKILL.md call:

    • git

From the folder's file list and the shell code blocks in SKILL.md.

  • Network

Hosts in commands or code, which the agent is likely to contact:

    • models.dev

From URLs in SKILL.md, links to its own repository left out.

  • Credentials

Names no API keys, tokens, secrets or passwords.

From names ending in _API_KEY, _TOKEN, _SECRET, _KEY or _PASSWORD in SKILL.md.

Context cost

omo Onboarding loads about 4.2k tokens when it runs. Until then it costs about 32 tokens; SKILL.md has 2,457 words of instructions outside code blocks.

Always · name and description, kept in context so the agent knows when to use it
~32
When it runs · the whole SKILL.md, loaded when a task matches
~4.2k

Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.

Safety

Auto-check passed

The automated check found no risky patterns in SKILL.md.

Automated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); files beside SKILL.md are not scanned.

SKILL.md

Its licence (Custom licence) doesn't allow us to republish the file, so here is its outline and opening line. It has 2,457 words (~4,249 tokens).

“This skill runs the first conversation a new omo user ever has. You are the guide. Walk the user through six lanes, in order: the feature tour, migration help, session archaeology, value mapping, memory recording (which runs through the whole…”
