At a glance

Compares HEAD with the latest published npm versions and describes unpublished changes by release layer, with version bump recommendations per layer.

  • Works in 3 steps: Read the actual diff to understand WHAT… → Describe the REAL change in plain language → Explain WHY it matters (if not obvious)
  • Preparing release notes for the npm packages
  • SKILL.md covers CRITICAL: DO NOT just copy…, Release Layers, Steps: and Output Format:
  • Calls git

What it does

Finds out what has changed since the last npm release of oh-my-opencode, oh-my-openagent and lazycodex-ai, then reports it against three release layers: omo pure components, omo opencode and omo codex. It detects the latest published versions, runs git diff from the published tag to HEAD, and sorts every file into one or more layers before grouping by feat, fix, refactor or docs.

Commit messages must not be copied. For each commit the skill reads the real diff and describes what changed in plain language and why it matters. The output includes a Layered Impact Matrix, breaking changes by layer, and a version recommendation per layer plus one overall bump. Paths matching senpi, omo-senpi, senpi-task, pi-goal or pi-webfetch go into a separate internal exclusion ledger, and the analysis is delivered immediately with no questions.

When your agent uses it

  • Preparing release notes for the npm packages
  • Deciding patch, minor or major per package layer
  • Seeing what changed since the last published version
  • Checking which layers a breaking change affects

Example prompts

  • “What changed since the last published oh-my-opencode version?”
  • “List the unpublished changes by release layer and recommend version bumps.”
  • “What's new since the last npm release? Keep the senpi adapters out of it.”

Requirements

  • Git history with the published version tags
  • Network access to read the latest npm versions

Workflow steps

3 steps, taken from the first numbered list in SKILL.md.

  1. Read the actual diff to understand WHAT CHANGED
  2. Describe the REAL change in plain language
  3. Explain WHY it matters (if not obvious)

What it can do on your machine

Read from SKILL.md and the folder at commit cbd7dd2. It shows what the files ask for, not the result of running them.

  • Tool permissions

Pre-approves nothing: there is no allowed-tools line, so your agent's usual permission prompts apply.

From allowed-tools in the SKILL.md frontmatter.

  • Runs code

    Shell commands in SKILL.md call:

    • git

From the folder's file list and the shell code blocks in SKILL.md.

  • Network

No URLs in SKILL.md. Its commands use git, which can reach the network depending on how they are called.

From URLs in SKILL.md, links to its own repository left out.

  • Credentials

Names no API keys, tokens, secrets or passwords.

From names ending in _API_KEY, _TOKEN, _SECRET, _KEY or _PASSWORD in SKILL.md.

Context cost

Unpublished Changes by Release Layer loads about 587 tokens when it runs. Until then it costs about 48 tokens; SKILL.md has 282 words of instructions outside code blocks.

Always · name and description, kept in context so the agent knows when to use it
~48
When it runs · the whole SKILL.md, loaded when a task matches
~587

Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.

Safety

Auto-check passed

The automated check found no risky patterns in SKILL.md.

Automated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); files beside SKILL.md are not scanned.

SKILL.md

Its licence (Custom licence) doesn't allow us to republish the file, so here is its outline and opening line. It has 282 words (~587 tokens).

“IMMEDIATELY output the analysis. NO questions. NO preamble.”
