Worlddev Submission is an agent skill from brycewang-stanford/Awesome-Journal-Skills. Use when running the final pre-submission preflight for World Development (WD) via Elsevier Editorial Manager — double-anonymized formatting, abstract/keyword limits, declarations, data statement, and house style. Final checks; it does not draft content.
Its SKILL.md is about 2.5k tokens, which your agent loads only when the skill is triggered. The skill folder holds 3 other files (for example `templates/checklist.md` and `templates/manuscript_template.md`).
The repository describes itself as: Journal-specific Claude Code/Codex skill packs covering mainstream journals — AER, QJE, Nature, Cell, 管理世界, 经济研究 & 200+ more — your fast track to getting published. | 覆盖主流期刊的… The licence is MIT.
5 steps, taken from the first numbered list in SKILL.md.
Read from SKILL.md and the folder at commit 932eb23. It shows what the files ask for, not the result of running them.
Pre-approves nothing: there is no allowed-tools line, so your agent's usual permission prompts apply.
From allowed-tools in the SKILL.md frontmatter.
No scripts in the folder and no shell commands in SKILL.md.
From the folder's file list and the shell code blocks in SKILL.md.
No URLs in SKILL.md.
From URLs in SKILL.md, links to its own repository left out.
Names no API keys, tokens, secrets or passwords.
From names ending in _API_KEY, _TOKEN, _SECRET, _KEY or _PASSWORD in SKILL.md.
Worlddev Submission loads about 2.5k tokens when it runs. Until then it costs about 69 tokens; SKILL.md has 1,114 words of instructions outside code blocks.
Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.
The automated check found no risky patterns in SKILL.md.
Automated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); files beside SKILL.md are not scanned.

.claude/skills/worlddev-submission/SKILL.md (or your agent's skills folder). This skill also uses 2 other files; get the full folder from GitHub.Use a three-state decision before any file enters Editorial Manager:
The gate is deliberately stricter than "all checklist boxes mostly done." A final preflight that returns HOLD should output the exact blocker and the file/section where it appears, not a generic request to "review submission materials."
Assemble the upload set in this order so anonymization errors are caught early:
Before submission, force the cover letter through this test:
If the letter cannot pass all four checks in plain language, route back to worlddev-topic-selection or worlddev-writing-style before upload.
Do not let source uncertainty leak into the submission package. Use this rule:
| Fact type | Submission action |
|---|---|
| Word limit / article type / portal field | Verify live in the Guide for Authors or leave out of the cover letter; do not copy a sibling journal limit |
| Editor names | Re-check live before naming anyone; otherwise address the editors generically |
| APC, waiver, or open-access fee | Treat as budget/admin information, not manuscript content, unless verified on the current official page |
| Data and ethics policy | State what the project will provide and why; if a WD-specific rule is uncertain, cite Elsevier policy generically and mark the WD-specific detail 待核实 in the internal output |
| Review model | Keep the blinded package conservative even if a portal field seems optional; double-anonymized review is the binding workflow assumption |

SKILL.md names no scripts, command-line tools or credentials: Worlddev Submission is instructions for the agent only.
SKILL.md contains no URLs. Any network use would come from the scripts or tools the agent runs. This is read from the text; nothing was executed.
Our automated static check of SKILL.md found no risky patterns, such as piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files or hidden Unicode. It is not a guarantee. Review the folder before installing.
Worlddev Submission is published under the MIT licence (the repository's licence). It allows redistribution, so the full SKILL.md is shown on this page.
About 2.5k tokens (SKILL.md is roughly 10k characters). Agents keep only the skill's name and description in context until a task matches; then they load SKILL.md in full.
