Imc Author Response is an agent skill from brycewang-stanford/Awesome-Journal-Skills. Use when drafting ACM IMC author responses, covering the initial-review rebuttal and — distinctively — the One-Shot-Revision resubmission that must address a bounded set of action points, keep double-blind anonymity, satisfy the reviewer champion, and be re-judged by the same reviewers at the next deadline.
Its SKILL.md is about 1.3k tokens, which your agent loads only when the skill is triggered. It is a single SKILL.md file with no bundled scripts.
The repository describes itself as: Journal-specific Claude Code/Codex skill packs covering mainstream journals — AER, QJE, Nature, Cell, 管理世界, 经济研究 & 200+ more — your fast track to getting published. | 覆盖主流期刊的… The licence is MIT.
Read from SKILL.md and the folder at commit 932eb23. It shows what the files ask for, not the result of running them.
Pre-approves nothing: there is no allowed-tools line, so your agent's usual permission prompts apply.
From allowed-tools in the SKILL.md frontmatter.
No scripts in the folder and no shell commands in SKILL.md.
From the folder's file list and the shell code blocks in SKILL.md.

Names no API keys, tokens, secrets or passwords.

Imc Author Response loads about 1.3k tokens when it runs. Until then it costs about 82 tokens; SKILL.md has 559 words of instructions outside code blocks.
Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.
The automated check found no risky patterns in SKILL.md.
Automated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); files beside SKILL.md are not scanned.
The full file from brycewang-stanford/Awesome-Journal-Skills at commit 932eb23, republished under its MIT licence (© brycewang-stanford). 559 words, ~1,290 tokens.
.claude/skills/imc-author-response/SKILL.md (or your agent's skills folder).Use this after IMC reviews are released. IMC has two distinct speaking turns, and conflating them is a common mistake: a short initial rebuttal, and — if you receive a One-Shot-Revision — a revised paper plus a change summary that the same reviewers re-read at the next deadline against a bounded set of action points. Both must respect double-blind anonymity: no author, institution, testbed, or vantage-point identity may leak.
Short and decision-focused. One decision-critical point per reviewer beats an exhaustive reply. Concede what is true, correct what is misread, and point to exactly where the answer lives in the submitted paper or appendix. For measurement papers the highest-value clarifications are usually: why the vantage points are representative enough, why a snapshot generalizes (or how long the window was), and why the active measurement was safe. Do not paste large new results the reviewers cannot verify.
A One-Shot-Revision is a bounded contract: the reviewers (with at least one champion) named a small number of action points — up to a few concrete additions/changes — and the resubmission is judged narrowly on whether each was done. Structure a change summary as an explicit ledger:
[A1] Action point (quoted briefly): "add a mobile-carrier vantage point"
-> DONE | added 8 carrier vantage points across 3 regions; §4.2, Table 3; dataset v2
[A2] Action point: "address the diurnal confound"
-> DONE | added a time-of-day controlled analysis; Fig. 5; the effect persists
[A3] Action point: "clarify the probing safety review"
-> DONE | expanded the Ethics appendix with the opt-out and rate-limit design (§A.1)The rules that turn a One-Shot-Revision into an acceptance:
| Pushback | What it signals | IMC-ready response |
|---|---|---|
| "Vantage points are not representative" | External-validity doubt | Add vantage points or quantify and bound the coverage gap; state residual limits |
| "This could be a snapshot artifact" | Temporal-validity doubt | Add a longitudinal slice or show stability across your window |
| "No ground truth for the labels" | Construct-validity doubt | Add a validated subsample or a second data source; bound the error |
| "The active measurement may cause harm" | Ethics objection | Document safety design, opt-out, rate limits, disclosure; expand the Ethics section |
| "The artifact is unavailable/undocumented" | Availability gap | Fix and re-anonymize the dataset/tool; correct the declaration |
[Turn] initial rebuttal / one-shot-revision resubmission
[Priority issue] <reviewer concern>
[Decision dimension] significance / vantage points / ground truth / method / ethics / availability
[Action ledger] <action point -> DONE + where in paper/dataset> (One-Shot-Revision)
[Scope check] <no unrequested scope creep: passed/issues>
[Anonymity check] <no identity/infrastructure leak: passed/issues>© brycewang-stanford, MIT. Rendered from Markdown: HTML in the file is shown as text, images as links, and headings moved down two levels. Raw file
