Godot is an agent skill from autonomous-ai/openharness. Build Godot games with GDScript, native gameplay assertions and sandboxed Web exports. Use for Godot Studio project and game-mechanic tasks.
Its SKILL.md is about 570 tokens, which your agent loads only when the skill is triggered. The skill folder holds 4 other files, including scripts (for example `scripts/export-web.sh`).
It sits in Game Development, covering Game development and Game design. It works with Godot. The repository describes itself as: The ultimate harness for coding agents and beyond. All your agents. All your machines. One command center. Start with code, then follow your curiosity and build across… The licence is MIT.
Read from SKILL.md and the folder at commit 74c2733. It shows what the files ask for, not the result of running them.
Pre-approves nothing: there is no allowed-tools line, so your agent's usual permission prompts apply.
From allowed-tools in the SKILL.md frontmatter.
Ships 3 files in scripts/ (JavaScript and Shell), which the agent can run.
Shell commands in SKILL.md call:
shnodeFrom the folder's file list and the shell code blocks in SKILL.md.
No URLs in SKILL.md.
From URLs in SKILL.md, links to its own repository left out.
Names no API keys, tokens, secrets or passwords.
From names ending in _API_KEY, _TOKEN, _SECRET, _KEY or _PASSWORD in SKILL.md.
Godot loads about 570 tokens when it runs. Until then it costs about 37 tokens; SKILL.md has 256 words of instructions outside code blocks.
Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.
The automated check found no risky patterns in SKILL.md.
Automated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); the scripts in this folder are not scanned.
The full file from autonomous-ai/openharness at commit 74c2733, republished under its MIT licence (© autonomous-ai). 256 words, ~570 tokens.
.claude/skills/godot/SKILL.md (or your agent's skills folder). This skill also uses 3 other files; get the full folder from GitHub.Project: project.godot; scene: scenes/Main.tscn; starter mechanics: scripts/main.gd. Lumen draws its own art and supports keyboard and pointer/touch destinations.
sh "$GODOT_SKILLS/godot/scripts/export-web.sh"The helper copies source (excluding build/cache directories), imports, runs scripts/proof.gd, then exports the Web preset into fresh staging. GODOT_BIN selects an editor, and GODOT_WEB_TEMPLATE an optional matching single-threaded release template. Node 20+ bootstraps through the package helper.
Proof must instantiate real gameplay and assert meaningful state transitions. On success it writes {"passed":true,"checks":[...]} to HARNESS_BUILD_DIR/proof.json; on failure exit nonzero. A missing receipt is failure even if Godot exits zero. Keep assertions relevant when replacing the starter. A standalone proof can write to Godot's user data directory when that environment variable is unset.
Use _physics_process for movement and keep per-frame work bounded. Preserve keyboard, touch/click, pause and restart when useful for the requested game. The custom web/shell.html exposes actual game state through JavaScriptBridge, not a parallel simulated game.
The build verdict means native assertions and export passed. Verify the exported game in the actual shared viewer before claiming browser readiness. A browser playthrough must exercise game results, not just see a canvas.
The viewer requires a single-threaded export (Godot 4.3+), Compatibility renderer, no service worker or persistent browser storage. Keep the editor and templates version-matched. Only Godot 4.4's known optional PWA callback warning is downgraded in the opaque sandbox; other engine errors remain visible.
Optional interaction/performance probe:
HARNESS_WORKSPACE="$PWD" node "$GODOT_SKILLS/godot/scripts/perf.mjs" build/web/index.htmlUses shared Web Viewer + Playwright and the assertions in proof.json. It reports actual interaction frame timing; inspect the recorded renderer and do not extrapolate hardware performance to other devices.

Godot fits situations like: godot Studio project and game-mechanic tasks; tasks that involve Game development; tasks that involve Game design.
Run `npx skills add autonomous-ai/openharness --skill godot -a claude-code`. Or copy the skill folder (store/agents/godot-studio/skills/godot in autonomous-ai/openharness) into .claude/skills/godot in your project. Claude Code loads it when a task matches its description.
Run `npx skills add autonomous-ai/openharness --skill godot -a codex`. Or copy the skill folder (store/agents/godot-studio/skills/godot in autonomous-ai/openharness) into .agents/skills/godot in your project. Codex loads it when a task matches its description.
Cursor, Gemini CLI, GitHub Copilot and OpenCode also load SKILL.md folders. With the skills CLI, run `npx skills add autonomous-ai/openharness --skill godot -a cursor` (or -a gemini-cli, github-copilot or opencode for the others). To copy it by hand, put the folder in .cursor/skills/godot, .gemini/skills/godot, .github/skills/godot and .opencode/skills/godot in your project.
Going by SKILL.md and its folder, Godot needs JavaScript and a shell for the scripts in its folder and the command-line tools its instructions call (sh and node). Our summary lists: Node.js; A Bash shell.
SKILL.md contains no URLs. Any network use would come from the scripts or tools the agent runs. This is read from the text; nothing was executed.
Our automated static check of SKILL.md found no risky patterns, such as piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files or hidden Unicode. It is not a guarantee. The check reads SKILL.md only: the scripts in the folder are not scanned, so read them before running anything.
Godot is published under the MIT licence (the repository's licence). It allows redistribution, so the full SKILL.md is shown on this page.
About 570 tokens (SKILL.md is roughly 2.3k characters). Agents keep only the skill's name and description in context until a task matches; then they load SKILL.md in full.
