agent-manager-referenceLooks up agent-manager.dev's own documentation, agents and MCP tools through its JSON API, Markdown pages and MCP server instead of scraping its marketing site.
Every documentation page serves clean Markdown both from its own URL with an Accept header and from a sibling path ending in .md, which the skill prefers over parsing HTML. A key-free, read-only JSON API covers the full set of endpoints and their operation ids, every documentation page's slug and URL, a single page's full Markdown body, a search across pages with the matching line, the coding CLIs agent-manager can detect, the MCP tools its own binary exposes, and the newest release with its install commands, plus a batch endpoint that runs several of these in one round trip; errors come back as JSON with a stable code, a message and a hint.
The same information is also reachable over MCP at an unauthenticated streamable HTTP endpoint, exposing tools to search docs, fetch or list a doc page, list supported agents, list managed MCP tools, and get the latest release, with every page doubling as an MCP resource; the skill points to a server-card URL to read before connecting. A natural-language ask endpoint accepts a plain question over HTTP and returns an answer.
Read from SKILL.md and the folder at commit d9efbda. It shows what the files ask for, not the result of running them.
Pre-approves nothing: there is no allowed-tools line, so your agent's usual permission prompts apply.

Names no API keys, tokens, secrets or passwords.

Agent-Manager Reference API loads about 689 tokens when it runs. Until then it costs about 57 tokens; SKILL.md has 220 words of instructions outside code blocks.
Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.
The automated check found no risky patterns in SKILL.md.
Automated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); files beside SKILL.md are not scanned.

Why this skill exists: it gives an AI agent the exact endpoints, parameters and MCP tool
names for answering questions about agent-manager, so it queries structured data instead
of guessing URLs or scraping HTML. The site serves this file, digest-sealed, at
https://agent-manager.dev/skills/agent-manager-reference/SKILL.md; the copy in this
repository is what makes it installable through skills.sh.

agent-manager.dev publishes its own reference data as JSON, as Markdown, and over MCP. Reach for these instead of parsing the marketing HTML.
Every page serves Markdown from its own URL, and from the .md path beside it:

GET /api/docs | Every page: slug, title, description, URL, Markdown URL |
GET /api/docs/{slug} | One page, with its full Markdown body |
GET /api/search?q= | Search over every page, with the matching line |
GET /api/agents | The coding CLIs with built-in status detection |
GET /api/mcp/tools | The tools the agent-manager binary exposes |
GET /api/release | The newest release and its install commands |

shareAI-lab/learn-claude-code
Walks through building MCP servers in Python or TypeScript that expose tools, resources and prompts to Claude, with templates, registration and testing.
anthropics/claude-plugins-official
Explains how to bundle Model Context Protocol servers in a Claude Code plugin, covering config files, stdio, SSE, HTTP and WebSocket server types, and authentication.
PrefectHQ/fastmcp
Query and invoke tools on MCP servers using fastmcp list and fastmcp call.
charmbracelet/crush
Explains how to configure the Crush coding agent with crushrc or crush.json, covering providers, models, LSPs, MCP servers, hooks, permissions and config precedence.
mksglu/context-mode
Routes large command, file, API and browser output through context-mode tools so only the needed result enters the agent's context, instead of dumping it via Bash.
YoanWai/agent-manager
Runs several coding-agent CLIs as real tmux sessions in one terminal UI, color-coded by whether each is working, waiting, idle or blocked.

Agent-Manager Reference API fits situations like: checking whether agent-manager supports a feature or what it costs; pulling a documentation page as Markdown for context; listing the MCP tools the agent-manager binary exposes; finding the newest agent-manager release and its install command.
Run `npx skills add YoanWai/agent-manager --skill agent-manager-reference -a claude-code`. Or copy the skill folder (skills/agent-manager-reference in YoanWai/agent-manager) into .claude/skills/agent-manager-reference in your project. Claude Code loads it when a task matches its description.

Cursor, Gemini CLI, GitHub Copilot and OpenCode also load SKILL.md folders. With the skills CLI, run `npx skills add YoanWai/agent-manager --skill agent-manager-reference -a cursor` (or -a gemini-cli, github-copilot or opencode for the others). To copy it by hand, put the folder in .cursor/skills/agent-manager-reference, .gemini/skills/agent-manager-reference, .github/skills/agent-manager-reference and .opencode/skills/agent-manager-reference in your project.
Going by SKILL.md and its folder, Agent-Manager Reference API needs the command-line tools its instructions call (curl). Our summary lists: Network access to agent-manager.dev.
SKILL.md names 1 domain. In commands or code: agent-manager.dev; the agent is likely to contact it when it follows the instructions. This is read from the text; nothing was executed.
Our automated static check of SKILL.md found no risky patterns, such as piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files or hidden Unicode. It is not a guarantee. Review the folder before installing.
Agent-Manager Reference API is published under the Apache-2.0 licence (declared in SKILL.md). It allows redistribution, so the full SKILL.md is shown on this page.
About 689 tokens (SKILL.md is roughly 2.8k characters). Agents keep only the skill's name and description in context until a task matches; then they load SKILL.md in full.
