game-ui-workflowDesign and implement game HUDs, menus, icons and portrait systems from visual proposals through reusable engine assets and input checks.
Game UI Workflow is an agent skill from witnesstodark/mr-mak-workspace. Design and implement game HUDs, menus, icons and portrait systems from visual proposals through reusable engine assets and input checks. Use when a game interface needs a coherent visual and behavior contract.
Its SKILL.md is about 870 tokens, which your agent loads only when the skill is triggered. It is a single SKILL.md file with no bundled scripts.
It sits in Sales & Support, covering Proposals and quotes. The repository describes itself as: A local desktop workspace for Codex and Claude Code, with project reports, creative skills and optional voice. The licence is MIT.
Read from SKILL.md and the folder at commit 1e0c7c3. It shows what the files ask for, not the result of running them.
Pre-approves nothing: there is no allowed-tools line, so your agent's usual permission prompts apply.
From allowed-tools in the SKILL.md frontmatter.
No scripts in the folder and no shell commands in SKILL.md.
From the folder's file list and the shell code blocks in SKILL.md.
No URLs in SKILL.md.
From URLs in SKILL.md, links to its own repository left out.
Names no API keys, tokens, secrets or passwords.
From names ending in _API_KEY, _TOKEN, _SECRET, _KEY or _PASSWORD in SKILL.md.
Game UI Workflow loads about 867 tokens when it runs. Until then it costs about 57 tokens; SKILL.md has 456 words of instructions outside code blocks.
Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.
The automated check found no risky patterns in SKILL.md.
Automated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); files beside SKILL.md are not scanned.

.claude/skills/game-ui-workflow/SKILL.md (or your agent's skills folder).Inspect the current game camera, input rules, UI framework and representative screens. Reuse the project's selected visual language and framework. Establish the information and actions the player needs before generating decorative art.
Use a native game capture as the context for a proposal. Keep it intact when comparing HUD alternatives, so changing the background cannot disguise contrast or obstruction. Define shared surface, type, spacing and selection tokens; preserve semantic colours for ownership, health, danger and accepted choices.
Separate visual art from live data. Decide which values come from runtime state, which actions dispatch existing commands and what remains unimplemented. Show unavailable data honestly instead of inventing a currency, timer or gameplay rule. Include hover, selected, disabled, empty and overflow states when relevant.
Review the actual interface scale and aspect ratios. Corner anchors, minimum sizes, long labels and compact rosters should remain usable at a narrow viewport. Test the intended selection/grouping rules; unit type and team may be independent keys. A combined health display and a range of differing stats are different data.
Keep approved art and source masters, with stable asset IDs and a manifest of source paths/hashes. Export icons at their intended display scale. Check alpha edges on light/dark backgrounds, shared optical weight and silhouette readability. For stretchable panels, identify border regions explicitly; verify corners at several sizes before choosing nine-slicing or another rendering approach.
Static and animated portraits need the same crop and a reliable still fallback. Budget concurrent video decoders/render targets, share identical playback when appropriate and release hidden views. Portrait art should be data-driven rather than adding a new UI branch for each character. Preserve GUIDs and existing bindings when updating imported assets.
Use the engine's existing UI tools or an available editor bridge. State the required framework/package instead of assuming a particular MCP is installed. Keep layout and world-input exclusion in agreement: a click over a panel must not also command the world. Verify hover/click, drag, keyboard focus, selection, minimap behaviour and pause/return paths that the changed screen owns.
Read current values and cooldowns from their authoritative systems. Avoid duplicating combat/production timers in presentation code. Reuse views, bound expensive updates and avoid per-frame texture readback for a minimap.
Save the real assets and check them in a fresh engine session. Deliver the theme, asset mapping, native captures, tested interactions and open decisions. A browser mockup approval is a design decision, not a claim of engine integration.
Example request: "Give the existing HUD a compact unit panel and six matching command icons." Success includes consistent icons, real selection data, working commands, overflow behaviour and no click-through. Dependencies: the current UI sources, game captures and target-engine access for implementation.

SKILL.md names no scripts, command-line tools or credentials: Game UI Workflow is instructions for the agent only.
SKILL.md contains no URLs. Any network use would come from the scripts or tools the agent runs. This is read from the text; nothing was executed.
Our automated static check of SKILL.md found no risky patterns, such as piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files or hidden Unicode. It is not a guarantee. Review the folder before installing.
Game UI Workflow is published under the MIT licence (the repository's licence). It allows redistribution, so the full SKILL.md is shown on this page.
About 867 tokens (SKILL.md is roughly 3.5k characters). Agents keep only the skill's name and description in context until a task matches; then they load SKILL.md in full.
