gn-check-autofixFixes GN dependency errors in WebRTC BUILD.gn files with the gn_check_autofix.py script, including missing deps and misused rtc_source_set targets.
Common GN configuration errors in WebRTC are resolved by `tools_webrtc/gn_check_autofix.py`. Run with `-C` and a build directory such as `out/Default`, it runs `gn gen --check`, finds targets with missing dependencies, adds the missing `deps` to the right `BUILD.gn` files and runs `gn format` on what it changed. It also converts `rtc_source_set` targets that contain .cc files into `rtc_library`, and `--error-limit` overrides the default cap of 20000 errors.
With `-r` and one or more BUILD.gn paths, the script strips non-absolute dependencies, meaning those that do not start with `//`, while keeping absolute ones and targets ending in _test, _tests, _unittest or _unittests. The skill treats it as the second step after `webrtc-include-cleaner`, which updates the C++ sources. Afterwards you should check the deps list for duplicates, run `gn gen` again to confirm the errors are gone, finish with `git cl format` and review the diff to see that dependencies landed on the right targets.
2 steps, taken from the first numbered list in SKILL.md.
Read from SKILL.md and the folder at commit 67c4578. It shows what the files ask for, not the result of running them.
Pre-approves nothing: there is no allowed-tools line, so your agent's usual permission prompts apply.
From allowed-tools in the SKILL.md frontmatter.
Shell commands in SKILL.md call:
gitFrom the folder's file list and the shell code blocks in SKILL.md.
No URLs in SKILL.md. Its commands use git, which can reach the network depending on how they are called.
From URLs in SKILL.md, links to its own repository left out.
Names no API keys, tokens, secrets or passwords.
From names ending in _API_KEY, _TOKEN, _SECRET, _KEY or _PASSWORD in SKILL.md.
GN Check Autofix loads about 605 tokens when it runs. Until then it costs about 55 tokens; SKILL.md has 269 words of instructions outside code blocks.
Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.
The automated check found no risky patterns in SKILL.md.
Automated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); files beside SKILL.md are not scanned.

automatically resolve common GN build configuration errors in WebRTC.

workflow:

While the include cleaner updates your C++ source files, gn-check-autofix
synchronizes your BUILD.gn files to match.

Going by SKILL.md and its folder, GN Check Autofix needs the command-line tools its instructions call (git). Our summary lists: A WebRTC checkout that includes `tools_webrtc/gn_check_autofix.py`; A local GN build directory such as `out/Default`.
SKILL.md contains no URLs. Its commands use git, which can reach the network depending on how they are called. This is read from the text; nothing was executed.
Our automated static check of SKILL.md found no risky patterns, such as piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files or hidden Unicode. It is not a guarantee. Review the folder before installing.
