caveman-helpQuick-reference card for all caveman modes, skills, and commands.
Caveman Help is an agent skill from vishiri/fantasia-archive. Quick-reference card for all caveman modes, skills, and commands. One-shot display, not a persistent mode. Trigger: /caveman-help, "caveman help", "what caveman commands", "how do I use caveman".
Its SKILL.md is about 570 tokens, which your agent loads only when the skill is triggered. The skill folder holds 1 other file (for example `README.md`).
The repository describes itself as: A world-builder's best friend! The licence is GPL-3.0.
Read from SKILL.md and the folder at commit 26d4648. It shows what the files ask for, not the result of running them.
Pre-approves nothing: there is no allowed-tools line, so your agent's usual permission prompts apply.
From allowed-tools in the SKILL.md frontmatter.
No scripts in the folder and no shell commands in SKILL.md (its code samples are bash and json).
From the folder's file list and the shell code blocks in SKILL.md.
Links to these hosts (documentation or services it may open):
github.comFrom URLs in SKILL.md, links to its own repository left out.
Names no API keys, tokens, secrets or passwords.
From names ending in _API_KEY, _TOKEN, _SECRET, _KEY or _PASSWORD in SKILL.md.
Caveman Help loads about 572 tokens when it runs. Until then it costs about 52 tokens; SKILL.md has 218 words of instructions outside code blocks.
Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.
The automated check found no risky patterns in SKILL.md.
Automated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); files beside SKILL.md are not scanned.
The full file from vishiri/fantasia-archive at commit 26d4648, republished under its GPL-3.0 licence (© vishiri). 218 words, ~572 tokens.
.claude/skills/caveman-help/SKILL.md (or your agent's skills folder). This skill also uses 1 other file; get the full folder from GitHub.Display this reference card when invoked. One-shot — do NOT change mode, write flag files, or persist anything. Output in caveman style.
| Mode | Trigger | What change |
|---|---|---|
| Lite | /caveman lite | Drop filler. Keep sentence structure. |
| Full | /caveman | Drop articles, filler, pleasantries, hedging. Fragments OK. Default. |
| Ultra | /caveman ultra | Extreme compression. Bare fragments. Tables over prose. |
| Wenyan-Lite | /caveman wenyan-lite | Classical Chinese style, light compression. |
| Wenyan-Full | /caveman wenyan | Full 文言文. Maximum classical terseness. |
| Wenyan-Ultra | /caveman wenyan-ultra | Extreme. Ancient scholar on a budget. |
Mode stick until changed or session end.
| Skill | Trigger | What it do |
|---|---|---|
| caveman-commit | /caveman-commit | Terse commit messages. Conventional Commits. ≤50 char subject. |
| caveman-review | /caveman-review | One-line PR comments: L42: bug: user null. Add guard. |
| caveman-compress | /caveman-compress <file> | Compress .md files to caveman prose. Saves ~46% input tokens. |
| caveman-help | /caveman-help | This card. |
Say "stop caveman" or "normal mode". Resume anytime with /caveman.
Keep user's language by default. User write Portuguese → reply Portuguese caveman. Compress the style, not the language. Technical terms, code, commands, commit types, and exact error strings stay verbatim unless user ask for translation.
Default mode = full. Change it:
Environment variable (highest priority):
export CAVEMAN_DEFAULT_MODE=ultraConfig file (~/.config/caveman/config.json):
{ "defaultMode": "lite" }Set "off" to disable auto-activation on session start. User can still activate manually with /caveman.
Resolution: env var > config file > full.
