create-appStarts a new Twenty app project, first settling which Twenty instance it will sync to: an existing server you point at, or a disposable local one run through Docker.
Use this when someone wants to begin a brand-new app, plugin, extension or integration for Twenty, an open-source CRM. Before scaffolding, the agent explains that a Twenty app is a package that extends a running Twenty instance, so its objects, views, front components and logic functions are synced to that instance to be registered, rendered and tested.
The default path asks for the URL of an existing instance, cloud or self-hosted, and the scaffolder signs in through OAuth there. Only when you have no instance does it start a disposable local server on port 2020 through Docker, which needs Docker Desktop installed and running. Other Twenty skills (develop-app, manage-app, publish-app, use-twenty-mcp) handle apps that already exist.
2 steps, taken from the first numbered list in SKILL.md.
Read from SKILL.md and the folder at commit 0d66dd1. It shows what the files ask for, not the result of running them.
Pre-approves nothing: there is no allowed-tools line, so your agent's usual permission prompts apply.
From allowed-tools in the SKILL.md frontmatter.
Shell commands in SKILL.md call:
yarnnpxFrom the folder's file list and the shell code blocks in SKILL.md.
Hosts in commands or code, which the agent is likely to contact:

Names no API keys, tokens, secrets or passwords.
From names ending in _API_KEY, _TOKEN, _SECRET, _KEY or _PASSWORD in SKILL.md.
Create a Twenty App loads about 1.6k tokens when it runs. Until then it costs about 18 tokens; SKILL.md has 917 words of instructions outside code blocks.
Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.
The automated check found no risky patterns in SKILL.md.
Automated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); files beside SKILL.md are not scanned.
Its licence (Custom licence) doesn't allow us to republish the file, so here is its outline and opening line. It has 917 words (~1,624 tokens).

Kilo-Org/kilo-marketplace
Sets up and maintains AzureML-ready Python projects as uv workspaces with devcontainers, a Makefile and job YAML, so local runs match cloud jobs and experiments stay reproducible.
superset-sh/superset
Makes a repository Superset-ready by writing .superset/config.json with setup, teardown and run scripts, then proving it with a real throwaway workspace.
pproenca/dot-skills
Developer-experience friction auditing and fixing — slow onboarding, repeated manual setup steps, missing bootstrap/reset/seed scripts, undiscoverable conventions.
gotempsh/temps
Start (or restart) a local Temps control plane built from this checkout, and the web dev server (bun dev) in <checkout/web.
prest/prest
Guides classifying, gap-analyzing and scaffolding support for a new SQL database in pREST, from Postgres-compatible variants to entirely new dialects.
twentyhq/twenty
Guides changes to an existing Twenty app: adding or editing objects, layouts, logic functions and front components, with a plan stated before multi-entity edits.
twentyhq/twenty
Operates an existing Twenty app: managing remotes, syncing, building, deploying, reading logs, running tests and setting up CI/CD, with confirmation for production.

Contributor guide for step three of adding a syncable entity to the Twenty server: write the validator, the migration action builder and the orchestrator wiring.
twentyhq/twenty
Walks through step 2 of adding a syncable entity to the Twenty server: a cache service for flat entity maps and utilities that transform entities and DTOs into universal flat entities.
twentyhq/twenty
Registers a new syncable entity in three NestJS modules and adds its service and GraphQL resolver layers when contributing to the Twenty server.

Step four of adding a syncable entity in the Twenty server: write create, update and delete action handlers that run workspace migrations against the database.

Create a Twenty App fits situations like: starting a Twenty app, plugin or extension from scratch; bootstrapping a CRM integration project for Twenty; choosing between an existing Twenty instance and a local Docker one.
Run `npx skills add twentyhq/twenty --skill create-app -a claude-code`. Or copy the skill folder (packages/twenty-agent-skills/skills/create-app in twentyhq/twenty) into .claude/skills/create-app in your project. Claude Code loads it when a task matches its description.
Run `npx skills add twentyhq/twenty --skill create-app -a codex`. Or copy the skill folder (packages/twenty-agent-skills/skills/create-app in twentyhq/twenty) into .agents/skills/create-app in your project. Codex loads it when a task matches its description.
Cursor, Gemini CLI, GitHub Copilot and OpenCode also load SKILL.md folders. With the skills CLI, run `npx skills add twentyhq/twenty --skill create-app -a cursor` (or -a gemini-cli, github-copilot or opencode for the others). To copy it by hand, put the folder in .cursor/skills/create-app, .gemini/skills/create-app, .github/skills/create-app and .opencode/skills/create-app in your project.
Going by SKILL.md and its folder, Create a Twenty App needs the command-line tools its instructions call (yarn and npx). Our summary lists: A Twenty instance URL, or Docker Desktop to run one locally; OAuth sign-in to the Twenty instance.
SKILL.md names 1 domain. In commands or code: docker.com; the agent is likely to contact it when it follows the instructions. This is read from the text; nothing was executed.
Our automated static check of SKILL.md found no risky patterns, such as piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files or hidden Unicode. It is not a guarantee. Review the folder before installing.
Create a Twenty App has a licence file (the repository's licence) that doesn't match a standard licence. Read it on GitHub before reusing the skill.
About 1.6k tokens (SKILL.md is roughly 6.5k characters). Agents keep only the skill's name and description in context until a task matches; then they load SKILL.md in full.
