Creativity is an agent skill from TheGoat395/Codex-Skills. Generate original ideas or escape fixation.
Its SKILL.md is about 1.2k tokens, which your agent loads only when the skill is triggered. The skill folder holds 7 other files, including reference files (for example `agents/openai.yaml`, `references/concept-development.md` and `references/convergence-protocol.md`).
It sits in Frontend & Design. The repository describes itself as: Codex-first Agent Skills library for premium frontend, website, motion, accessibility, QA, and handoff workflows. The licence is MIT.
7 steps, taken from the first numbered list in SKILL.md.
Read from SKILL.md and the folder at commit feff772. It shows what the files ask for, not the result of running them.
Pre-approves nothing: there is no allowed-tools line, so your agent's usual permission prompts apply.
From allowed-tools in the SKILL.md frontmatter.
No scripts in the folder and no shell commands in SKILL.md.
From the folder's file list and the shell code blocks in SKILL.md.
No URLs in SKILL.md.
From URLs in SKILL.md, links to its own repository left out.
Names no API keys, tokens, secrets or passwords.
From names ending in _API_KEY, _TOKEN, _SECRET, _KEY or _PASSWORD in SKILL.md.
Creativity loads about 1.2k tokens when it runs, and up to ~5.1k if it reads all its reference files. Until then it costs about 14 tokens; SKILL.md has 583 words of instructions outside code blocks.
Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.
The automated check found no risky patterns in SKILL.md.
Automated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); files beside SKILL.md are not scanned.
The full file from TheGoat395/Codex-Skills at commit feff772, republished under its MIT licence (© TheGoat395). 583 words, ~1,228 tokens.
.claude/skills/creativity/SKILL.md (or your agent's skills folder). This skill also uses 5 other files; get the full folder from GitHub.Create possibilities that are meaningfully different, useful for the objective, and honest about evidence. Creativity is a search process: frame the problem, generate varied preinventive material, explore it from several interpretations, develop the strongest candidates, and evaluate only after genuine alternatives exist.
Do not confuse creativity with random novelty, many synonyms, ornamental effects, unsupported claims, or a long unranked list.
For a brief reframe, explore distinct mechanisms and develop the result directly. Respect an already selected direction.
critical-thinking assesses claims; logical-thinking determines what follows. Imagined audience reactions are hypotheses, not validation.
Identify what kind of change is needed:
If installed, creative-direction-divergence can own a formal website direction study and cross-domain-creative-divergence a business or campaign brief. Neither is required by this public collection. Otherwise use the search, development and selection references below, adapting evaluation criteria to the brief. Preserve an already selected direction unless revisiting it is in scope.
Record:
Write a compact challenge statement:
Create [outcome] for [audience/context] while honoring [fixed constraints],
without defaulting to [obvious pattern]. A strong direction changes [decisive dimension]
and can be tested by [observable signal].If the initial framing presupposes one solution, restate it in functional terms before generating ideas.
Examples can improve fluency while anchoring output to their surface features. When originality matters:
If the user explicitly requests faithful adaptation or reconstruction, preserve that objective and distinguish required fidelity from creative freedom.
Stop when the search has covered genuinely different mechanisms, the leading direction survives the material constraints, further variants repeat existing families, and the next uncertainty is better resolved by a prototype or evidence than more ideation.
Match the output to the user's need:
Label invention, analogy, assumption, inspiration, and verified fact separately. Do not expose private scratch reasoning; show the useful creative structure and result.

Creativity fits situations like: frontend & Design work in your project.
Run `npx skills add TheGoat395/Codex-Skills --skill creativity -a claude-code`. Or copy the skill folder (skills/creativity in TheGoat395/Codex-Skills) into .claude/skills/creativity in your project. Claude Code loads it when a task matches its description.
Run `npx skills add TheGoat395/Codex-Skills --skill creativity -a codex`. Or copy the skill folder (skills/creativity in TheGoat395/Codex-Skills) into .agents/skills/creativity in your project. Codex loads it when a task matches its description.
Cursor, Gemini CLI, GitHub Copilot and OpenCode also load SKILL.md folders. With the skills CLI, run `npx skills add TheGoat395/Codex-Skills --skill creativity -a cursor` (or -a gemini-cli, github-copilot or opencode for the others). To copy it by hand, put the folder in .cursor/skills/creativity, .gemini/skills/creativity, .github/skills/creativity and .opencode/skills/creativity in your project.
SKILL.md names no scripts, command-line tools or credentials: Creativity is instructions for the agent only.
SKILL.md contains no URLs. Any network use would come from the scripts or tools the agent runs. This is read from the text; nothing was executed.
Our automated static check of SKILL.md found no risky patterns, such as piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files or hidden Unicode. It is not a guarantee. Review the folder before installing.
Creativity is published under the MIT licence (the repository's licence). It allows redistribution, so the full SKILL.md is shown on this page.
About 1.2k tokens (SKILL.md is roughly 4.9k characters). Agents keep only the skill's name and description in context until a task matches; then they load SKILL.md in full. Its references folder adds about 3.9k tokens, read only when the agent opens those files.
