Codebase Knowledge Graph Q&A
Egonex-AI/Understand-Anything
Answers questions about a codebase by searching a prebuilt knowledge graph of its files, functions, classes and dependencies, not by rereading every source file.
“Prime a codebase by reading every source file in full. Use when starting work on a new or unfamiliar project, or when the user asks to "learn the codebase", "read the codebase"…”

learn-codebase“Prime a codebase by reading every source file in full. Use when starting work on a new or unfamiliar project, or when the user asks to "learn the codebase", "read the codebase", "prime", or "get up to speed".”
Learn Codebase is a skill in thedotmack/claude-mem (98k stars). Its SKILL.md is about 226 tokens. Licence: Apache-2.0.
Read from SKILL.md and the folder at commit 71ddd11. It shows what the files ask for, not the result of running them.
Pre-approves nothing: there is no allowed-tools line, so your agent's usual permission prompts apply.
From allowed-tools in the SKILL.md frontmatter.
No scripts in the folder and no shell commands in SKILL.md.
From the folder's file list and the shell code blocks in SKILL.md.
No URLs in SKILL.md.
From URLs in SKILL.md, links to its own repository left out.
Names no API keys, tokens, secrets or passwords.
From names ending in _API_KEY, _TOKEN, _SECRET, _KEY or _PASSWORD in SKILL.md.
Learn Codebase loads about 226 tokens when it runs. Until then it costs about 56 tokens; SKILL.md has 109 words of instructions outside code blocks.
Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.
The automated check found no risky patterns in SKILL.md.
Automated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); files beside SKILL.md are not scanned.
The full file from thedotmack/claude-mem at commit 71ddd11, republished under its Apache-2.0 licence (© thedotmack). 109 words, ~226 tokens.
.claude/skills/learn-codebase/SKILL.md (or your agent's skills folder). Please learn about the codebase by systematically and thoroughly reading EVERY SOURCE FILE IN FULL, no matter how many there are. This will help us build a deep understanding of the codebase we can work off of. This is critical and non negotiable.
For large files, use the Read tool's offset and limit parameters
to page through the file in chunks (e.g. offset: 1, limit: 500, then
offset: 501, limit: 500).
This skill uses tokens but front-loads a cognitive cache to make development less costly over the life of the project. Please keep this in mind before deciding to warn the user over cost.

Egonex-AI/Understand-Anything
Answers questions about a codebase by searching a prebuilt knowledge graph of its files, functions, classes and dependencies, not by rereading every source file.
Egonex-AI/Understand-Anything
Gives an in-depth explanation of one file, function or module by reading the project's knowledge graph and checking that the graph is still fresh.
yamadashy/repomix
Packs a local or remote repository into a single AI-friendly file with the Repomix CLI, then reads and searches that output to explain structure, find patterns or report metrics.
trailofbits/skills
Generates Mermaid diagrams from Trailmark code graphs, including call graphs, class hierarchies, module dependency maps, complexity heatmaps and attack surface data flows.
Egonex-AI/Understand-Anything
Writes an onboarding guide for new team members from a project's existing knowledge graph, after checking that the graph still matches the current commit.
ahmedkhaleel2004/gitdiagram
Explains the architecture of a public GitHub repository through GitDiagram: how the code is organized, the main components with paths, and a Mermaid diagram.
thedotmack/claude-mem
Walks you through creating, installing and verifying a custom claude-mem mode, including note types, tags and optional Telegram alerts for chosen memories.
thedotmack/claude-mem
Checks claude-mem cloud sync status and guides you through connecting a cmem.ai Pro account without the sync token ever passing through the chat.
thedotmack/claude-mem
Searches the user's persistent cross-session memory for timestamped observations synthesized from past agent sessions on cmem.ai.
thedotmack/claude-mem
Pairs the claude-mem Cowork plugin with a cmem.ai account by writing the sync token, user id and SyncHub URL into the plugin config without exposing the secret.
thedotmack/claude-mem
Writes a narrative Journey Into report on a project's whole development history, built from the timeline that claude-mem has recorded.
thedotmack/claude-mem
Keeps watching a pull request, fixing real review and CI problems and resolving stale threads, until it is clean and ready to merge.

Run `npx skills add thedotmack/claude-mem --skill learn-codebase -a claude-code`. Or copy the skill folder (plugin/skills/learn-codebase in thedotmack/claude-mem) into .claude/skills/learn-codebase in your project. Claude Code loads it when a task matches its description.
Run `npx skills add thedotmack/claude-mem --skill learn-codebase -a codex`. Or copy the skill folder (plugin/skills/learn-codebase in thedotmack/claude-mem) into .agents/skills/learn-codebase in your project. Codex loads it when a task matches its description.
Cursor, Gemini CLI, GitHub Copilot and OpenCode also load SKILL.md folders. With the skills CLI, run `npx skills add thedotmack/claude-mem --skill learn-codebase -a cursor` (or -a gemini-cli, github-copilot or opencode for the others). To copy it by hand, put the folder in .cursor/skills/learn-codebase, .gemini/skills/learn-codebase, .github/skills/learn-codebase and .opencode/skills/learn-codebase in your project.
SKILL.md names no scripts, command-line tools or credentials: Learn Codebase is instructions for the agent only.
SKILL.md contains no URLs. Any network use would come from the scripts or tools the agent runs. This is read from the text; nothing was executed.
Our automated static check of SKILL.md found no risky patterns, such as piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files or hidden Unicode. It is not a guarantee. Review the folder before installing.
Learn Codebase is published under the Apache-2.0 licence (the repository's licence). It allows redistribution, so the full SKILL.md is shown on this page.
About 226 tokens (SKILL.md is roughly 904 characters). Agents keep only the skill's name and description in context until a task matches; then they load SKILL.md in full.
