V2ex is an agent skill from sigcli/sigcli. Interact with V2EX (v2ex.com) — browse hot and latest topics, read topic details and replies, search posts, create topics, reply to discussions, thank posts, favorite topics/nodes, follow members, daily check-in. Use this skill whenever the user mentions V2EX, v2ex.com, wants to browse tech forum topics, read V2EX discussions, search V2EX posts, check V2EX notifications, create or reply to V2EX topics, or look up V2EX users/nodes. Also trigger when the user pastes a V2EX URL (e.g. v2ex.com/t/12345), mentions a…
Its SKILL.md is about 2.6k tokens, which your agent loads only when the skill is triggered. The skill folder holds 34 other files, including scripts and reference files (for example `references/provider-config.yaml`, `scripts/v2ex_append.py` and `scripts/v2ex_client.py`).
The repository describes itself as: The authentication CLI & Proxy for AI agents. Give agents access, not your credentials. The licence is MIT.
5 steps, taken from the first numbered list in SKILL.md.
Read from SKILL.md and the folder at commit 9ba8b35. It shows what the files ask for, not the result of running them.
Pre-approves nothing: there is no allowed-tools line, so your agent's usual permission prompts apply.
From allowed-tools in the SKILL.md frontmatter.
Ships 16 files in scripts/ (Python, from the files we listed), which the agent can run.
Shell commands in SKILL.md call:
python3From the folder's file list and the shell code blocks in SKILL.md.
No URLs in SKILL.md.
From URLs in SKILL.md, links to its own repository left out.
Names no API keys, tokens, secrets or passwords.
From names ending in _API_KEY, _TOKEN, _SECRET, _KEY or _PASSWORD in SKILL.md.
V2ex loads about 2.6k tokens when it runs, and up to ~2.8k if it reads all its reference files. Until then it costs about 158 tokens; SKILL.md has 746 words of instructions outside code blocks.
Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.
The automated check found no risky patterns in SKILL.md.
Automated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); the scripts in this folder are not scanned.
The full file from sigcli/sigcli at commit 9ba8b35, republished under its MIT licence (© sigcli). 746 words, ~2,626 tokens.

v2ex_thank.py costs coins and is irreversible — confirm with the user first.
Nodes — V2EX organizes topics into nodes (like subreddits). Examples: python, apple, jobs, create, programmer, shanghai. Use v2ex_node.py --list-all to see all.
Once token — V2EX uses a CSRF token called once for all write operations. The client extracts it automatically from HTML pages before each mutation.
Topic IDs — Numeric IDs (e.g., 12345). Found in URLs like v2ex.com/t/12345. Get from hot/latest/search results, then use with v2ex_topic.py.
Member IDs vs usernames — Profiles use usernames, but follow/block actions require numeric member IDs. v2ex_member.py returns both.
Daily check-in — V2EX awards coins for daily sign-in. Use v2ex_daily.py to redeem.
Search — Uses the SOV2EX third-party search engine (sov2ex.com) which indexes V2EX content for full-text search.

Going by SKILL.md and its folder, V2ex needs Python for the scripts in its folder and the command-line tools its instructions call (python3). Our summary lists: Python 3; Docker.
SKILL.md contains no URLs. Any network use would come from the scripts or tools the agent runs. This is read from the text; nothing was executed.
Our automated static check of SKILL.md found no risky patterns, such as piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files or hidden Unicode. It is not a guarantee. The check reads SKILL.md only: the scripts in the folder are not scanned, so read them before running anything.
V2ex is published under the MIT licence (the repository's licence). It allows redistribution, so the full SKILL.md is shown on this page.
About 2.6k tokens (SKILL.md is roughly 11k characters). Agents keep only the skill's name and description in context until a task matches; then they load SKILL.md in full. Its references folder adds about 130 tokens, read only when the agent opens those files.
