write-agentmemory-skillSets the house format for writing or restructuring an agentmemory skill: a tiered SKILL.md under 100 lines, generated reference facts and a fixed style and checklist.
A skill folder has a required SKILL.md under 100 lines, an optional REFERENCE.md for dense, auto-generated facts, and presumably an EXAMPLES.md for worked examples, though the excerpt was cut before fully listing it. SKILL.md's frontmatter needs name, description, an optional argument-hint, and a user-invocable flag set true only for skills run as a slash command. The description itself is exactly two sentences in third person and under 1024 characters: the first states the capability, the second starts with "Use when" and lists concrete triggers distinct from sibling skills.
The body follows a fixed order: a quick start with one concrete example, a Why section stating the governing principle, a numbered Workflow with decision gates, an Anti-patterns callout showing a wrong-versus-right case for the top mistake, a checklist, and a See also section that cross-links siblings one level deep, with shared recovery steps living only in a central troubleshooting file rather than being inlined. Facts that already exist in source, such as tool names, REST endpoints or env vars, are generated with npm run skills:gen rather than hand-typed, and CI runs npm run skills:check to fail on drift. Style bans external or competitor product names, emojis, em-dashes and filler.
Read from SKILL.md and the folder at commit 007a1a7. It shows what the files ask for, not the result of running them.
Pre-approves nothing: there is no allowed-tools line, so your agent's usual permission prompts apply.

Write an agentmemory Skill loads about 567 tokens when it runs. Until then it costs about 52 tokens; SKILL.md has 257 words of instructions outside code blocks.
Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.
The automated check found no risky patterns in SKILL.md.
Automated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); files beside SKILL.md are not scanned.

Going by SKILL.md and its folder, Write an agentmemory Skill needs the command-line tools its instructions call (npm). Our summary lists: Node.js with npm run skills:gen and npm run skills:check.
SKILL.md contains no URLs. Its commands use npm, which can reach the network depending on how they are called. This is read from the text; nothing was executed.
Our automated static check of SKILL.md found no risky patterns, such as piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files or hidden Unicode. It is not a guarantee. Review the folder before installing.
Write an agentmemory Skill is published under the Apache-2.0 licence (the repository's licence). It allows redistribution, so the full SKILL.md is shown on this page.
About 567 tokens (SKILL.md is roughly 2.3k characters). Agents keep only the skill's name and description in context until a task matches; then they load SKILL.md in full.
