agentmemory-mcp-toolsIndexes agentmemory's MCP tools by purpose, with a save-then-recall quick start and a reference file listing exact parameters.
Use this as a map of the MCP tools agentmemory exposes, so the agent reaches for the right one. The families are capture (`memory_save`, `memory_compress_file`), retrieval (`memory_smart_search`, `memory_recall`, `memory_file_history`, `memory_timeline`), sessions and commits, knowledge and graph queries, structured slots, and governance and health checks such as `memory_audit` and `memory_heal`.
The quick start saves an insight with `memory_save`, passing the content, comma-separated concepts and file paths, then retrieves it with `memory_smart_search`, which runs BM25, vector and graph-expanded search together. Advice is to pick the narrowest tool, check exact parameter names in `REFERENCE.md` before calling, and pass only documented fields, since REST handlers drop unknown ones. HTTP equivalents and feature flags are covered by sibling agentmemory skills.
2 steps, taken from the first numbered list in SKILL.md.
Read from SKILL.md and the folder at commit 007a1a7. It shows what the files ask for, not the result of running them.
Pre-approves nothing: there is no allowed-tools line, so your agent's usual permission prompts apply.
From allowed-tools in the SKILL.md frontmatter.
No scripts in the folder and no shell commands in SKILL.md.
From the folder's file list and the shell code blocks in SKILL.md.
No URLs in SKILL.md.
From URLs in SKILL.md, links to its own repository left out.
Names no API keys, tokens, secrets or passwords.
From names ending in _API_KEY, _TOKEN, _SECRET, _KEY or _PASSWORD in SKILL.md.
agentmemory MCP Tools loads about 545 tokens when it runs. Until then it costs about 57 tokens; SKILL.md has 208 words of instructions outside code blocks.
Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.
The automated check found no risky patterns in SKILL.md.
Automated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); files beside SKILL.md are not scanned.

Save then recall:
memory_save with content (the insight), concepts (comma-separated keywords), files (comma-separated paths).memory_smart_search with query and limit to retrieve it later. This runs hybrid BM25 plus vector plus graph-expanded search.memory_save, memory_observe flows, memory_compress_file.memory_smart_search, memory_recall, memory_file_history, memory_timeline, memory_vision_search.memory_sessions, memory_commits, memory_commit_lookup.memory_lesson_save, memory_lesson_recall, memory_graph_query, memory_relations, memory_patterns, memory_crystallize.memory_slot_create, memory_slot_append, memory_slot_get, memory_slot_list, memory_slot_replace, memory_slot_delete.memory_governance_delete, memory_audit, memory_verify, memory_heal, memory_diagnose.memory_smart_search for open recall, memory_recall when you already have a focused query, memory_sessions for session listings.Full tool table with parameters and the core-set marking lives in REFERENCE.md, generated from source so it never drifts.

Teaches an MCP-connected agent when and how to call Memori's recall, summary, compaction, augmentation, feedback and quota tools to keep context across sessions.
mozilla-ai/cq
Queries a shared knowledge store before acting, proposes newly discovered insights, and confirms or flags existing entries, so agents stop rediscovering the same failures.
Goldentrii/AgentRecall-X
Persistent compounding memory for AI agents. An agent skill from Goldentrii/AgentRecall-X.
pacifio/atlas
Saves the decisions, facts, failures and architecture notes from a conversation into Atlas's shared memory so other agents and later sessions can reuse them.
rohitg00/agentmemory
Sets up and troubleshoots a local agentmemory install, covering the MCP connection, environment variables, ports, authentication and optional feature flags.
rohitg00/agentmemory
Traces a file, function or line back to the agent session behind its current commit, using git blame and a memory lookup, and reports only what the records show.
rohitg00/agentmemory
Lists recent git commits linked to agent sessions, filterable by branch, repository or a result limit, showing the session id and observation count behind each one.
rohitg00/agentmemory
Deletes chosen memories from agentmemory only after showing the matches and getting an explicit yes, for privacy requests and cleanup of outdated notes.
rohitg00/agentmemory
Resumes the most recent agent session for the current directory, leading with any question left unanswered and ending with a concrete next step.
rohitg00/agentmemory
Distills a user correction or hard-won rule into a confidence-weighted lesson that resurfaces automatically before similar future work.

agentmemory MCP Tools fits situations like: choosing between memory_smart_search, memory_recall and memory_sessions; looking up a memory tool's name or required arguments; finding out what agentmemory can do through MCP.
Run `npx skills add rohitg00/agentmemory --skill agentmemory-mcp-tools -a claude-code`. Or copy the skill folder (plugin/skills/agentmemory-mcp-tools in rohitg00/agentmemory) into .claude/skills/agentmemory-mcp-tools in your project. Claude Code loads it when a task matches its description.

SKILL.md names no scripts, command-line tools or credentials: agentmemory MCP Tools is instructions for the agent only. Our summary lists: An agentmemory server connected as an MCP server.
SKILL.md contains no URLs. Any network use would come from the scripts or tools the agent runs. This is read from the text; nothing was executed.
Our automated static check of SKILL.md found no risky patterns, such as piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files or hidden Unicode. It is not a guarantee. Review the folder before installing.
agentmemory MCP Tools is published under the Apache-2.0 licence (the repository's licence). It allows redistribution, so the full SKILL.md is shown on this page.
About 545 tokens (SKILL.md is roughly 2.2k characters). Agents keep only the skill's name and description in context until a task matches; then they load SKILL.md in full.
