design-brand-logoObtain or, as a last resort, design the square brand mark a Plugins-store card needs.
Design Brand Logo is an agent skill from PersonalJarvis/PersonalJarvis. Obtain or, as a last resort, design the square brand mark a Plugins-store card needs. Use when adding a marketplace plugin, when a card falls back to a coloured tile or a letter monogram, or when someone reports that a logo "doesn't look original". Trigger phrases - "the logo is wrong", "get the real logo", "add a logo for <service", "make a logo", "das Logo ist nicht original".
Its SKILL.md is about 1.2k tokens, which your agent loads only when the skill is triggered. It is a single SKILL.md file with no bundled scripts.
It sits in Media & Creative, covering Logo and visual identity. The repository describes itself as: Your AI assistant, built for the agentic era. Open source and local: talk to it, and it runs your agents, your coding CLIs, your browser and your apps. Windows, macOS, Linux. The licence is Apache-2.0.
4 steps, taken from the step headings in SKILL.md.
Read from SKILL.md and the folder at commit 46acfbd. It shows what the files ask for, not the result of running them.
Pre-approves nothing: there is no allowed-tools line, so your agent's usual permission prompts apply.
From allowed-tools in the SKILL.md frontmatter.
Shell commands in SKILL.md call:
pythonnpmFrom the folder's file list and the shell code blocks in SKILL.md.
Hosts in commands or code, which the agent is likely to contact:
cdn.jsdelivr.netcal.comFrom URLs in SKILL.md, links to its own repository left out.
Names no API keys, tokens, secrets or passwords.
From names ending in _API_KEY, _TOKEN, _SECRET, _KEY or _PASSWORD in SKILL.md.
Design Brand Logo loads about 1.2k tokens when it runs. Until then it costs about 100 tokens; SKILL.md has 698 words of instructions outside code blocks.
Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.
The automated check found no risky patterns in SKILL.md.
Automated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); files beside SKILL.md are not scanned.
The full file from PersonalJarvis/PersonalJarvis at commit 46acfbd, republished under its Apache-2.0 licence (© PersonalJarvis). 698 words, ~1,217 tokens.
.claude/skills/design-brand-logo/SKILL.md (or your agent's skills folder).A card's mark is the first thing anyone judges the store by. A wrong one does not read as a small cosmetic gap — it reads as fake.
The order is: find the original, then find the original somewhere else, and only then draw something. Drawing is the last resort, and what you draw must be honestly ours rather than an imitation of a mark you could not obtain.
PluginsView.tsx resolves three tiers per card:
src/assets/brands/<plugin-id>.svg — the original mark, inset on a neutral
tile. Every card should reach this tier.logo_color brand tile.Tiers 2 and 3 exist so a card is never blank. They are not a substitute for the real mark: they draw a white glyph on a colour, which is genuinely how a few brands look (Stripe, Cloudflare) and plainly wrong for most (Gmail is not a white envelope on red). A card sitting on tier 2 that does not really look like that is a bug.
Try, in order:
https://cdn.jsdelivr.net/gh/gilbarbara/logos@main/logos/<name>.svg
Try <brand>-icon before <brand> — the plain name is usually the
horizontal logotype.https://cdn.jsdelivr.net/gh/pheralb/svgl@main/static/library/<name>.svghttps://cal.com/api/logo?type=icon. Try /logo.svg, /icon.svg,
/api/logo?type=icon, the <link rel="icon"> in their homepage HTML, and
their brand or press page before giving up.Take the icon, not the wordmark. A logotype shrunk into a 40 px square is
unreadable; check the viewBox and reject anything wider than about 1.45:1.
Before concluding a mark is missing, ask what the service's real app icon
looks like. If it genuinely is a white glyph on a solid brand colour, tier 2 is
the faithful rendering and bundling a wordmark would make it less accurate.
Set the right logo_color in the catalog and record the decision in the
"Deliberately not bundled" table of LOGOS.md.
Applies to a self-hosted or niche service with no published mark. Be sceptical that you are really here: Cal.com looked like this case because the public collections only carry its wordmark, and it turned out to serve a perfectly good square icon from its own site. A hand-drawn placeholder that replaces an obtainable mark is worse than no work at all.
Do not approximate a logo you have seen. Guessing at someone's trademark is both legally worse and visually obvious. Design something that is clearly a Jarvis-made placeholder:
viewBox, a single path where possible, no gradients, no text;Record it in the ledger with own work as the legal basis, so nobody later
mistakes it for an official asset.
src/assets/brands/<plugin-id>.svg — the catalog id, so no wiring
is needed.<script>, <foreignObject>, on* handlers,
external hrefs, embedded raster <image>. These files come from outside
the project and an SVG runs on render.LOGOS.md: plugin id, source, legal basis, date.python scripts/ci/check_brand_logos.py — it enforces steps 2 and 3
plus the aspect ratio, and it is wired into pre-push.npm run build, then look at the card. The bundle is committed, so an
unbuilt change reaches nobody.CC0 and MIT settle the copyright in the drawing. Neither grants trademark rights. Bundling is nominative use — identifying the service a plugin connects to — and the ledger says so. If a vendor's brand guidelines forbid third-party use of their icon, do not bundle it: leave it on tier 2 and note why.

Going by SKILL.md and its folder, Design Brand Logo needs the command-line tools its instructions call (python and npm). Our summary lists: Python 3.
SKILL.md names 2 domains. In commands or code: cdn.jsdelivr.net and cal.com; the agent is likely to contact these when it follows the instructions. This is read from the text; nothing was executed.
Our automated static check of SKILL.md found no risky patterns, such as piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files or hidden Unicode. It is not a guarantee. Review the folder before installing.
Design Brand Logo is published under the Apache-2.0 licence (the repository's licence). It allows redistribution, so the full SKILL.md is shown on this page.
About 1.2k tokens (SKILL.md is roughly 4.9k characters). Agents keep only the skill's name and description in context until a task matches; then they load SKILL.md in full.
