audiocraft-audio-generationGenerates music from text descriptions with MusicGen and sound effects with AudioGen, using Meta's AudioCraft PyTorch library with melody and style conditioning.
The skill is a guide to Meta's AudioCraft for text-to-music and text-to-audio generation. It covers MusicGen for music from text with optional melody conditioning, AudioGen for sound effects and environmental audio, and EnCodec as the neural audio codec. It lists model variants from small to large, melody and stereo variants, and a style variant that conditions on a reference clip.
Quick-start examples show installing audiocraft from PyPI, generating music with the AudioCraft models and torchaudio, using the Hugging Face Transformers MusicGen classes, and generating sounds with AudioGen. An architecture overview describes a text encoder feeding the generator. The skill also names alternatives for other needs: Stable Audio for longer commercial music, Bark for text-to-speech with sound effects, Riffusion for spectrogram-based music and OpenAI Jukebox for raw audio with lyrics. Reference files cover advanced usage and troubleshooting.
Read from SKILL.md and the folder at commit 773a529. It shows what the files ask for, not the result of running them.

AudioCraft Audio Generation loads about 3.9k tokens when it runs, and up to ~11k if it reads all its reference files. Until then it costs about 65 tokens; SKILL.md has 346 words of instructions outside code blocks.
Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.
The automated check found no risky patterns in SKILL.md.
Automated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); files beside SKILL.md are not scanned.
The full file from Orchestra-Research/AI-Research-SKILLs at commit 773a529, republished under its MIT licence (© Orchestra-Research). 346 words, ~3,876 tokens.
