bunQuick reference for using Bun to run TypeScript and JavaScript, install packages, bundle code, run tests and serve HTTP, with the key files and commands.
Bun is a single `bun` executable that acts as runtime, package manager, bundler and test runner, and it runs TypeScript and JSX directly without configuration. The skill lists the commands that cover most tasks: `bun run` for files and package scripts, `bun install`, `bun add` and `bun remove` for dependencies, `bun build` with an output folder for bundles, `bun test`, and `--watch` for reruns.
It also covers file conventions: optional `bunfig.toml` for configuration, `package.json`, the `bun.lock` lockfile, test files named `*.test.ts` or `*.spec.ts` that are found automatically, and `.env` files that load on their own. A bunfig example shows install settings such as hoisted or isolated linking. A table of common APIs begins with `Bun.serve()` for HTTP servers, and the use cases include file operations, monorepo workspaces and preparing production builds.

Bun Runtime and Toolkit loads about 2.2k tokens when it runs. Until then it costs about 56 tokens; SKILL.md has 960 words of instructions outside code blocks.
Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.
The automated check noted patterns worth knowing about, such as sudo or a known installer.

It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); files beside SKILL.md are not scanned.
Its licence (Custom licence) doesn't allow us to republish the file, so here is its outline and opening line. It has 960 words (~2,220 tokens).
“Bun is an all-in-one JavaScript/TypeScript runtime and toolkit. It ships as a single executable (bun) and includes a fast runtime (4x faster startup than Node.js), package manager (30x faster installs), bundler, and test runner. Agents use Bun to execute TypeScript/JSX…”

Bun Runtime and Toolkit fits situations like: running a TypeScript or JSX file directly without a build step; adding, removing or updating npm packages with Bun; bundling an app for the browser or a server; writing and running Jest-style tests.
Run `npx skills add mweinbach/agent-coworker --skill bun -a claude-code`. Or copy the skill folder (.agents/skills/bun in mweinbach/agent-coworker) into .claude/skills/bun in your project. Claude Code loads it when a task matches its description.
Run `npx skills add mweinbach/agent-coworker --skill bun -a codex`. Or copy the skill folder (.agents/skills/bun in mweinbach/agent-coworker) into .agents/skills/bun in your project. Codex loads it when a task matches its description.
Cursor, Gemini CLI, GitHub Copilot and OpenCode also load SKILL.md folders. With the skills CLI, run `npx skills add mweinbach/agent-coworker --skill bun -a cursor` (or -a gemini-cli, github-copilot or opencode for the others). To copy it by hand, put the folder in .cursor/skills/bun, .gemini/skills/bun, .github/skills/bun and .opencode/skills/bun in your project.
Going by SKILL.md and its folder, Bun Runtime and Toolkit needs the command-line tools its instructions call (bun). Our summary lists: Bun installed on your machine.
SKILL.md names 1 domain. As links in the text: bun.com. This is read from the text; nothing was executed.
Our automated static check of SKILL.md found notes only (mentions a .env file), nothing it rates as a warning. It is not a guarantee. Review the folder before installing.
Bun Runtime and Toolkit has a licence file (the repository's licence) that doesn't match a standard licence. Read it on GitHub before reusing the skill.
About 2.2k tokens (SKILL.md is roughly 8.9k characters). Agents keep only the skill's name and description in context until a task matches; then they load SKILL.md in full.
