new-namelistScaffold division name lists, ship hull names, ship class design names, and air wing name blocks for a country.
New Namelist is an agent skill from MillenniumDawn/Millennium-Dawn. Scaffold division name lists, ship hull names, ship class design names, and air wing name blocks for a country. Use when asked to create namelists or unit/ship/squadron names for a TAG, e.g. "/new-namelist GHA".
Its SKILL.md is about 740 tokens, which your agent loads only when the skill is triggered. It is a single SKILL.md file with no bundled scripts.
The repository describes itself as: Millennium Dawn and it's codebase. The licence is CC-BY-SA-4.0.
6 steps, taken from the step headings in SKILL.md.
Read from SKILL.md and the folder at commit eef3a54. It shows what the files ask for, not the result of running them.
Pre-approves nothing: there is no allowed-tools line, so your agent's usual permission prompts apply.
From allowed-tools in the SKILL.md frontmatter.
No scripts in the folder and no shell commands in SKILL.md.
From the folder's file list and the shell code blocks in SKILL.md.
No URLs in SKILL.md.
From URLs in SKILL.md, links to its own repository left out.
Names no API keys, tokens, secrets or passwords.
From names ending in _API_KEY, _TOKEN, _SECRET, _KEY or _PASSWORD in SKILL.md.
New Namelist loads about 739 tokens when it runs. Until then it costs about 56 tokens; SKILL.md has 370 words of instructions outside code blocks.
Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.
The automated check found no risky patterns in SKILL.md.
Automated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); files beside SKILL.md are not scanned.
The full file from MillenniumDawn/Millennium-Dawn at commit eef3a54, republished under its CC-BY-SA-4.0 licence (© MillenniumDawn). 370 words, ~739 tokens.
.claude/skills/new-namelist/SKILL.md (or your agent's skills folder).Syntax: /new-namelist <TAG>
Read docs/src/content/resources/unit-name-lists.md first. Templates, valid tokens, and
the new-tag checklist are in .claude/docs/namelist-reference.md. They are not repeated
here.
history/units/TAG_*.txt: starting templates and ships.history/countries/TAG*.txt: name, region, language.history/states/*.txt: whether the country owns a coastal state.Decide the language for unit names (French, Spanish, Portuguese, English, or native Latin-script spelling), whether the country is landlocked, and how large its navy is.
If any of the three target files exist, warn before overwriting and offer to append.
Write common/units/names_divisions/TAG_names_divisions.txt with all seven groups. Aim
for 6 to 10 ordered entries per group for a major country and 3 to 6 for a small one.
Use real formation names where they exist.
Write common/units/names_ships/TAG_ship_names.txt. Frigate and corvette are the
minimum. Add the other types the OOB fields. Aim for 8 to 15 names per group, mixing
real ship names with geographic features, battles, national heroes, rivers, and
islands. Landlocked nations get no ship file.
Write or append common/units/names/00_TAG_names.txt:
L_Inf_Bat block.air_wing_names_template and a block for every air archetype, even with an empty
unique. A missing block does not error. It silently falls back to a numbered
generic. Add 8 to 15 real squadron names on the main fighter, strike, and CAS
archetypes for a major nation.generic_pattern must point at an existing loc key. Without a _CARRIER key,
point the cv_ archetypes at AIR_WING_NAME_TAG_GENERIC.Landlocked nations take only the L_Inf_Bat and air wing blocks.
If the OOB defines templates, add division_names_group = TAG_<GROUP> to each
division_template, and to each starting division:
division_name = { is_name_ordered = yes name_order = 1 }Increment name_order per unit in the same group. It need not match an ordered key.
If the OOB is minimal or generic, leave it and say so.
Files created or changed, the seven division groups, ship groups and class types covered, air archetypes covered and any missing, whether the OOB was updated, and any name that still needs verifying.

Scaffold a new Remotion Element for development in the docs Remotion Studio.
simstudioai/sim
Commit, push, and open a PR to staging in one shot — runs the cleanup pass and, when migrations changed, the db-migrate safety review first
vectorize-io/hindsight
Take a PR from review to merged — run the repo's code-review skill on it in a loop (review, fix, re-review) until nothing is left to fix, applying ALL fixes on the PR branch, wait for CI green, then…
garrytan/gstack
Takes finished code to a pull request: merges the base branch, runs tests, reviews the diff, bumps VERSION, updates the CHANGELOG, commits, pushes and opens the PR.
millionco/react-doctor
Take the current branch from done-coding to merge-ready in one pass — review the diff against AGENTS.md, deslop, commit and push, open a PR using rule-validate's PR copy, then babysit until mergeable.

SKILL.md names no scripts, command-line tools or credentials: New Namelist is instructions for the agent only.
SKILL.md contains no URLs. Any network use would come from the scripts or tools the agent runs. This is read from the text; nothing was executed.
Our automated static check of SKILL.md found no risky patterns, such as piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files or hidden Unicode. It is not a guarantee. Review the folder before installing.
New Namelist is published under the CC-BY-SA-4.0 licence (the repository's licence). It allows redistribution, so the full SKILL.md is shown on this page.
About 739 tokens (SKILL.md is roughly 3k characters). Agents keep only the skill's name and description in context until a task matches; then they load SKILL.md in full.
Skills that share tags, products or a category with New Namelist: Scaffolding (dotnet/efcore, 15k stars), Scaffold Element (remotion-dev/remotion, 63k stars), Ship (simstudioai/sim, 30k stars) and Ship It (vectorize-io/hindsight, 48k stars).
