Cutting A Release
TriliumNext/Trilium

Fix Issue is an agent skill from MillenniumDawn/Millennium-Dawn. Find an actionable open GitHub issue (or take an issue number or quoted task), implement the fix, commit, update the changelog, and open or update a PR. Use when asked to fix an issue or pick up work from the tracker, e.g. "/fix-issue 1354".
Its SKILL.md is about 990 tokens, which your agent loads only when the skill is triggered. It is a single SKILL.md file with no bundled scripts.
It sits in Development, covering Changelog and release notes. It works with GitHub. The repository describes itself as: Millennium Dawn and it's codebase. The licence is CC-BY-SA-4.0.
7 steps, taken from the step headings in SKILL.md.
Read from SKILL.md and the folder at commit 5821281. It shows what the files ask for, not the result of running them.
Pre-approves nothing: there is no allowed-tools line, so your agent's usual permission prompts apply.
From allowed-tools in the SKILL.md frontmatter.
Shell commands in SKILL.md call:
gitghFrom the folder's file list and the shell code blocks in SKILL.md.
No URLs in SKILL.md. Its commands use git and gh, which can reach the network depending on how they are called.
From URLs in SKILL.md, links to its own repository left out.
Names no API keys, tokens, secrets or passwords.
From names ending in _API_KEY, _TOKEN, _SECRET, _KEY or _PASSWORD in SKILL.md.
Fix Issue loads about 988 tokens when it runs. Until then it costs about 63 tokens; SKILL.md has 547 words of instructions outside code blocks.
Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.
The automated check found no risky patterns in SKILL.md.
Automated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); files beside SKILL.md are not scanned.
The full file from MillenniumDawn/Millennium-Dawn at commit 5821281, republished under its CC-BY-SA-4.0 licence (© MillenniumDawn). 547 words, ~988 tokens.
.claude/skills/fix-issue/SKILL.md (or your agent's skills folder).Implement one actionable issue and open a pull request. Take only work that is small and specified well enough to implement from the issue plus repo context, with no design or balance decision left open.
Arguments: an issue number, a quoted task description, or none to auto-select. Requested arguments: $ARGUMENTS
gh issue view <number> --json title, body, labels, comments.gh issue list --state open --limit 40,
gh pr list --state open) and pick an issue no open PR covers.Eligible work is a bug with a clear reproduction, or a concrete task that names the country, system, or files it touches and has a sibling implementation to mirror.
Skip the issue, and say why, when it is vague, needs a design or balance decision, needs new art, audio, or map assets, spans many systems or countries, or is a large feature. When in doubt, report it back.
With no actionable issue left, work through the "Scan patterns" section of
.claude/docs/bug-patterns.md instead.
Claim an issue that passes: gh issue edit <number> --add-assignee @me. Skip this for a
quoted task or a scanned bug.
Read the issue, then the code it names, and understand the data flow before editing.
Produce an edit list: the exact files, blocks, and new text, with every value, name, loc key, and ordering resolved. Note related out-of-scope problems and leave them alone.
Make the smallest change that resolves the issue. Follow AGENTS.md and the matching
.claude/docs/ reference, and add every required loc key. Do not refactor nearby code
or fix unrelated problems in the same commit.
A one-line edit is made directly. For a larger edit list, the mechanical typing may go
to a head-mod-developer subagent with the edit list verbatim, an instruction to stay
within the listed files, and verification greps to report. Check its git diff --stat
before committing.
Always branch from main, never from whatever branch the session started on:
git fetch origin
git checkout -b <slug> origin/main<slug> is a short kebab-case description, not an issue number. Stage only the files
for this work:
git commit -m "<Fix|Add|Implement> <short description> (#<issue>)" -m "<one or two sentences: the cause and fix, or what was added>"Then git merge origin/main so the branch is current before the changelog and PR.
Every PR that touches game files gets exactly one BLUF line in Changelog.txt, placed
by the /changelog rules and committed separately as Update Changelog.txt:
- [TAG] <Past-tense verb> <what the player sees> (Issue #N)Skip it only when the diff has no game files, and say so in the report.
Push, then check for an open PR on the branch:
git push -u origin <branch>
gh pr list --head <branch> --state open --json number,url,body/open-pr <issue number>. It owns the create path./open-pr format with
gh pr edit <PR#> --body-file <file>. Do not create a second PR. Keep every
Closes #N line and any test-plan section already there.Omit Closes # for a quoted task or a scanned bug.
The PR URL, whether it was created or updated, the changelog line or why it was skipped, and a short summary of what was fixed or added.

TriliumNext/Trilium
A skill your agent uses when cutting, preparing, or debugging a Trilium release — bumping the monorepo version, tagging, or diagnosing a failed "Release" workflow run.
tw93/Mole
Runbook for assessing and executing a Mole CLI release: distribution channels, pre-flight checks, capital-V tags, build artifacts and the handoff to curated release notes.
jamiepine/voicebox
Writes or refreshes the Unreleased section of CHANGELOG.md as a themed narrative built from the commits, PRs and diff since the last version tag.
tw93/Mole
Publishes curated, bilingual release notes for an existing Mole version tag with gh release edit, including contributor thanks and reactions, after the release workflow finishes.
jamiepine/voicebox
Ends a release cycle by moving the Unreleased changelog notes under a dated version heading, bumping version files with bumpversion and tagging the commit.
jfernandez/bpftop
Cut a new versioned release of bpftop — pick the version, open a version-bump PR, sign-tag the merge commit on main, and draft GitHub release notes in the project's established format.
MillenniumDawn/Millennium-Dawn
Build or standardise one country's TAGaibehavior AI path game rule — write the rule options and loc, wire the global flags, own the focus weights, run the AI hardening pass, and open the PR.
MillenniumDawn/Millennium-Dawn
Profile MD's recurring per-tick scripted workload (the daily/weekly/monthly onaction hooks and everything they run) as a flamegraph sized by script ops, plus a text report.
MillenniumDawn/Millennium-Dawn

Going by SKILL.md and its folder, Fix Issue needs the command-line tools its instructions call (git and gh).
SKILL.md contains no URLs. Its commands use git and gh, which can reach the network depending on how they are called. This is read from the text; nothing was executed.
Our automated static check of SKILL.md found no risky patterns, such as piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files or hidden Unicode. It is not a guarantee. Review the folder before installing.
Fix Issue is published under the CC-BY-SA-4.0 licence (the repository's licence). It allows redistribution, so the full SKILL.md is shown on this page.
About 988 tokens (SKILL.md is roughly 4k characters). Agents keep only the skill's name and description in context until a task matches; then they load SKILL.md in full.
