modalShows how to build modals, dialogs and confirmations in LobeHub with the base-ui imperative API (createModal, confirmModal, ModalHost) instead of declarative Modal components.
The skill recommends the base-ui modal stack from @lobehub/ui/base-ui for new code, with createModal, confirmModal and ModalHost, plus useModalContext inside modal content. Because base-ui renders through its own host, the app must mount ModalHost from that package once near the root, otherwise createModal calls will not appear. The imperative style is preferred over open-state Modal components because it needs no local state.
A file structure puts the content component and a createXxxModal function together in a feature folder, and the body is passed as content or children. For i18n, content uses useTranslation and createModal options use the i18next t function. A section on closing explains that close() from the context or the returned instance only sets the stack entry to closed and skips base-ui's dismissal path, so callbacks differ from a user dismissal by Escape, backdrop click or the header close button.

Imperative Modal API loads about 1.3k tokens when it runs. Until then it costs about 28 tokens; SKILL.md has 382 words of instructions outside code blocks.
Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.
The automated check found no risky patterns in SKILL.md.
Automated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); files beside SKILL.md are not scanned.
Its licence (Custom licence) doesn't allow us to republish the file, so here is its outline and opening line. It has 382 words (~1,343 tokens).
“New code should use the base-ui modal stack (headless primitives, not antd Modal):”

Imperative Modal API fits situations like: opening a dialog or confirmation from an event handler; migrating a declarative Modal with open state to createModal; working out which close callback fires in a given dismissal path.
Run `npx skills add lobehub/lobehub --skill modal -a claude-code`. Or copy the skill folder (.agents/skills/modal in lobehub/lobehub) into .claude/skills/modal in your project. Claude Code loads it when a task matches its description.
Run `npx skills add lobehub/lobehub --skill modal -a codex`. Or copy the skill folder (.agents/skills/modal in lobehub/lobehub) into .agents/skills/modal in your project. Codex loads it when a task matches its description.
Cursor, Gemini CLI, GitHub Copilot and OpenCode also load SKILL.md folders. With the skills CLI, run `npx skills add lobehub/lobehub --skill modal -a cursor` (or -a gemini-cli, github-copilot or opencode for the others). To copy it by hand, put the folder in .cursor/skills/modal, .gemini/skills/modal, .github/skills/modal and .opencode/skills/modal in your project.
SKILL.md names no scripts, command-line tools or credentials: Imperative Modal API is instructions for the agent only. Our summary lists: A project that uses @lobehub/ui with the base-ui entry point.
SKILL.md contains no URLs. Any network use would come from the scripts or tools the agent runs. This is read from the text; nothing was executed.
Our automated static check of SKILL.md found no risky patterns, such as piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files or hidden Unicode. It is not a guarantee. Review the folder before installing.
Imperative Modal API has a licence file (the repository's licence) that doesn't match a standard licence. Read it on GitHub before reusing the skill.
About 1.3k tokens (SKILL.md is roughly 5.4k characters). Agents keep only the skill's name and description in context until a task matches; then they load SKILL.md in full.
