linearHandles Linear issues for the team: reading details and images, checking sub-issues, marking progress, labeling AI-created issues and writing completion comments.
The skill governs how an agent works with Linear. It starts by discovering the available Linear tools, including deferred ones, and picking them by capability rather than by a fixed name, reporting a missing capability only after discovery. The workflow retrieves the issue, reads any images because screenshots often carry key context, checks for sub-issues, marks the issue In Progress when planning or implementing so teammates know it is owned, and follows a per-issue completion routine before moving to the next issue.
New issues get a claude code label so the team can audit AI-generated issues, and they are assigned to the authenticated user unless you say otherwise. Issue text follows the language of the conversation, Chinese or English, with technical terms, paths and code left in their original form, including when titles are edited. A further section covers creating trees of sub-issues.

Read from SKILL.md and the folder at commit 1863542. It shows what the files ask for, not the result of running them.
Pre-approves nothing: there is no allowed-tools line, so your agent's usual permission prompts apply.

Linear Issue Workflow loads about 1.5k tokens when it runs. Until then it costs about 26 tokens; SKILL.md has 819 words of instructions outside code blocks.
Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.
The automated check found no risky patterns in SKILL.md.
Automated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); files beside SKILL.md are not scanned.
Its licence (Custom licence) doesn't allow us to republish the file, so here is its outline and opening line. It has 819 words (~1,518 tokens).
“Before using Linear workflows, discover the available Linear tools, including deferred tools, and inspect their current schemas. Select tools by capability (issue lookup, images, sub-issues, create/update, comments), not a fixed MCP prefix or historical tool name. Report a missing capability…”

Linear Issue Workflow fits situations like: picking up a Linear issue to plan or implement it; creating issues or sub-issue trees from a discussion; posting a completion comment and updating an issue's status.
Run `npx skills add lobehub/lobehub --skill linear -a claude-code`. Or copy the skill folder (.agents/skills/linear in lobehub/lobehub) into .claude/skills/linear in your project. Claude Code loads it when a task matches its description.
Run `npx skills add lobehub/lobehub --skill linear -a codex`. Or copy the skill folder (.agents/skills/linear in lobehub/lobehub) into .agents/skills/linear in your project. Codex loads it when a task matches its description.
Cursor, Gemini CLI, GitHub Copilot and OpenCode also load SKILL.md folders. With the skills CLI, run `npx skills add lobehub/lobehub --skill linear -a cursor` (or -a gemini-cli, github-copilot or opencode for the others). To copy it by hand, put the folder in .cursor/skills/linear, .gemini/skills/linear, .github/skills/linear and .opencode/skills/linear in your project.
Going by SKILL.md and its folder, Linear Issue Workflow needs the command-line tools its instructions call (claude and bun). Our summary lists: A Linear connection or MCP tools that the agent can discover.
SKILL.md contains no URLs. Any network use would come from the scripts or tools the agent runs. This is read from the text; nothing was executed.
Our automated static check of SKILL.md found no risky patterns, such as piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files or hidden Unicode. It is not a guarantee. Review the folder before installing.
Linear Issue Workflow has a licence file (the repository's licence) that doesn't match a standard licence. Read it on GitHub before reusing the skill.
About 1.5k tokens (SKILL.md is roughly 6.1k characters). Agents keep only the skill's name and description in context until a task matches; then they load SKILL.md in full.
