Manifoldbt Backtester
tradermonty/claude-trading-skills
Runs a declarative strategy spec over OHLCV bars with the manifoldbt Rust engine, pairs the fill log into round trips, and emits the eight inputs the backtest-expert skill scores.
Runs and troubleshoots local lo2cin4bt backtests: strategy runs, Parameter Matrix, WFA, rolling validation, frontend startup, payload refresh and generated artifacts.

lo2cin4bt-backtestingRuns and troubleshoots local lo2cin4bt backtests: strategy runs, Parameter Matrix, WFA, rolling validation, frontend startup, payload refresh and generated artifacts.
This is a repo-local skill for operating the lo2cin4bt backtest app. It covers the single app-managed route that takes a normalized config through the persistent Rust engine to validated canonical artifacts and the frontend on port 2424. It is used for local execution, runtime failures, performance checks, output cleanup and checking that completed runs show up in the frontend.
The agent reproduces a problem before diagnosing it, keeps every strategy on the shared engine and checks app, API and frontend evidence end to end. A pre-run checklist confirms the config path, schema version and workflow, provider, symbol, bar specification, session calendar, benchmark, costs and slippage, the metricstracker settings (defaults of 252 for traditional daily assets, 365 for crypto and a 0.04 risk-free rate), a local output path, and that no live trading or broker order path is involved.
Required reads are reference files under skills/lo2cin4bt/references, such as runtime architecture, first run, troubleshooting and the payload contract map. Replies follow the language of the user and switch to Traditional Chinese when the user writes Chinese. Backtests are described as local research artifacts, not investment or trading advice.
4 steps, taken from the first numbered list in SKILL.md.
Read from SKILL.md and the folder at commit d2e0863. It shows what the files ask for, not the result of running them.
Pre-approves nothing: there is no allowed-tools line, so your agent's usual permission prompts apply.
From allowed-tools in the SKILL.md frontmatter.
Shell commands in SKILL.md call:
pythonuvFrom the folder's file list and the shell code blocks in SKILL.md.
No URLs in SKILL.md. Its commands use uv, which can reach the network depending on how they are called.
From URLs in SKILL.md, links to its own repository left out.
Names no API keys, tokens, secrets or passwords.
From names ending in _API_KEY, _TOKEN, _SECRET, _KEY or _PASSWORD in SKILL.md.
lo2cin4bt Backtesting loads about 1.8k tokens when it runs. Until then it costs about 65 tokens; SKILL.md has 739 words of instructions outside code blocks.
Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.
The automated check found no risky patterns in SKILL.md.
Automated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); files beside SKILL.md are not scanned.
Its licence (Custom licence) doesn't allow us to republish the file, so here is its outline and opening line. It has 739 words (~1,755 tokens).
“Operate and diagnose the one app-managed backtest route from normalized config through the persistent Rust engine to validated canonical artifacts and port 2424.”

Going by SKILL.md and its folder, lo2cin4bt Backtesting needs the command-line tools its instructions call (python and uv). Our summary lists: A local checkout of lo2cin4bt with its Rust engine and frontend; A backtest config file.
SKILL.md contains no URLs. Its commands use uv, which can reach the network depending on how they are called. This is read from the text; nothing was executed.
Our automated static check of SKILL.md found no risky patterns, such as piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files or hidden Unicode. It is not a guarantee. Review the folder before installing.
lo2cin4bt Backtesting has a licence file (the repository's licence) that doesn't match a standard licence. Read it on GitHub before reusing the skill.
About 1.8k tokens (SKILL.md is roughly 7k characters). Agents keep only the skill's name and description in context until a task matches; then they load SKILL.md in full.
