current-sheetA skill your agent uses to find out which workbook, sheet, and cell the user is currently looking at in the open-sheet viewer, so an instruction like "make this bold" or "why is this wrong?"…
Current Sheet is an agent skill from lianghsun/open-sheet. Use this skill to find out which workbook, sheet, and cell the user is currently looking at in the open-sheet viewer, so an instruction like "make this bold" or "why is this wrong?" resolves to the right place without asking. Use it whenever the user refers to "this cell", "this sheet", "the one I'm looking at", or gives an instruction with no explicit workbook id.
Its SKILL.md is about 440 tokens, which your agent loads only when the skill is triggered. It is a single SKILL.md file with no bundled scripts.
It sits in Documents & Office, covering Excel spreadsheets. It works with Microsoft Excel. The repository describes itself as: The spreadsheet framework built for agents — write the model as React, export a live .xlsx. The third medium, after open-slide and open-doc. The licence is MIT.
3 steps, taken from the first numbered list in SKILL.md.
Read from SKILL.md and the folder at commit 6ab72dd. It shows what the files ask for, not the result of running them.
Pre-approves nothing: there is no allowed-tools line, so your agent's usual permission prompts apply.
From allowed-tools in the SKILL.md frontmatter.
No scripts in the folder and no shell commands in SKILL.md (its code samples are json).
From the folder's file list and the shell code blocks in SKILL.md.
No URLs in SKILL.md.
From URLs in SKILL.md, links to its own repository left out.
Names no API keys, tokens, secrets or passwords.
From names ending in _API_KEY, _TOKEN, _SECRET, _KEY or _PASSWORD in SKILL.md.
Current Sheet loads about 437 tokens when it runs. Until then it costs about 95 tokens; SKILL.md has 189 words of instructions outside code blocks.
Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.
The automated check found no risky patterns in SKILL.md.
Automated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); files beside SKILL.md are not scanned.

.claude/skills/current-sheet/SKILL.md (or your agent's skills folder). The dev server publishes the reader's position to
node_modules/.open-sheet/current.json as they navigate:
{ "id": "fy26-budget", "sheet": "P&L", "cell": "B7", "updatedAt": "2026-08-18T…" }Read that file, or GET http://localhost:5373/__open-sheet/api/current.
updatedAt is old, the dev server is
probably not running — ask which workbook rather than guessing.id gives you sheets/<id>/index.tsx.cell is an A1 address for reading only. It tells you where the user is
pointing; it is not something to write into the source. The user points at a cell; you have to edit the block that produced it. Open the workbook and work out which block covers that address — usually obvious from the sheet's structure — then change the authoring construct:
| The user says | You change |
|---|---|
| "this number is wrong" | the value in the data array, or the formula |
| "make this a percentage" | format on that column |
| "this column should be a bar" | bar: true on that column |
| "this total is wrong" | the total aggregate, or the formula feeding it |
Never respond by writing an address into the file. If you find yourself wanting
to, re-read sheet-authoring.
