create-themeWrites a reusable house style for open-sheet workbooks as a themes Markdown file, with an optional demo workbook, so every spreadsheet follows the same brand look.
A theme is a house style that workbooks link to through meta.theme, and it is kept as Markdown so both people and agents can read it. This skill writes that file into the themes folder, named after the theme's id. The file starts with frontmatter holding a name and a description, followed by a design system object in TSX that is kept as a plain object literal so the Design panel can rewrite it. You can also add a small demo workbook in the same folder so the gallery has something to preview.
The conventions put assumptions on their own sheet as key-value pairs. The rules apply to print and Excel alike: one accent color, because a second one competes; a white or near-white background; body text no smaller than 10pt; and number formats treated as part of the theme, since a house style that leaves ratios unformatted has not done its job.
Read from SKILL.md and the folder at commit 6ab72dd. It shows what the files ask for, not the result of running them.
Pre-approves nothing: there is no allowed-tools line, so your agent's usual permission prompts apply.
From allowed-tools in the SKILL.md frontmatter.
No scripts in the folder and no shell commands in SKILL.md (its code samples are markdown).
From the folder's file list and the shell code blocks in SKILL.md.
No URLs in SKILL.md.
From URLs in SKILL.md, links to its own repository left out.
Names no API keys, tokens, secrets or passwords.
From names ending in _API_KEY, _TOKEN, _SECRET, _KEY or _PASSWORD in SKILL.md.
Open-Sheet Theme Creator loads about 452 tokens when it runs. Until then it costs about 72 tokens; SKILL.md has 53 words of instructions outside code blocks.
Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.
The automated check found no risky patterns in SKILL.md.
Automated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); files beside SKILL.md are not scanned.

## Rules that matter for print and Excel alike
- **One accent colour.** A second one competes; a third is decoration.
- **White or near-white background.** Anything darker costs toner and makes
Excel's own selection highlight unreadable.
- **Body text no smaller than 10pt.** Spreadsheets get printed and squinted at.
- **Number formats are part of the theme.** A house style that leaves ratios
unformatted has not done its job.
- Keep the `design` const a plain object literal so the Design panel can rewrite it.© lianghsun, MIT. Rendered from Markdown: HTML in the file is shown as text, images as links, and headings moved down two levels. Raw file

SKILL.md names no scripts, command-line tools or credentials: Open-Sheet Theme Creator is instructions for the agent only. Our summary lists: An open-sheet project with a themes folder.
SKILL.md contains no URLs. Any network use would come from the scripts or tools the agent runs. This is read from the text; nothing was executed.
Our automated static check of SKILL.md found no risky patterns, such as piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files or hidden Unicode. It is not a guarantee. Review the folder before installing.
