whizard-telemetry-rulerInstalls the WizTelemetry Ruler extension for KubeSphere and manages event, audit and log alerting rules as RuleGroup and ClusterRuleGroup resources.
WizTelemetry Ruler adds event alerting and log alerting to the KubeSphere observability platform. It evaluates Kubernetes events, KubeSphere audit events and Kubernetes logs against alerting rules and forwards matching alerts to receivers such as Alertmanager. The skill helps the agent install and configure the extension and create, update or delete rules as RuleGroup or ClusterRuleGroup resources.
Installation follows an ordered checklist. The agent lists the available clusters with kubectl and confirms which ones to deploy to, asking you when you have not said, then looks up the latest extension version from the cluster before it generates an InstallPlan. The skill also lists dependencies: whizard-telemetry is required, while events, auditing, logging, the data pipeline and OpenSearch are needed only for the matching alerting or persistence features.
3 steps, taken from the step headings in SKILL.md.
Read from SKILL.md and the folder at commit 04a29b5. It shows what the files ask for, not the result of running them.
Pre-approves nothing: there is no allowed-tools line, so your agent's usual permission prompts apply.

WizTelemetry Ruler loads about 6.5k tokens when it runs. Until then it costs about 39 tokens; SKILL.md has 1,473 words of instructions outside code blocks.
Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.
The automated check found no risky patterns in SKILL.md.
Automated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); files beside SKILL.md are not scanned.
Its licence (Custom licence) doesn't allow us to republish the file, so here is its outline and opening line. It has 1,473 words (~6,497 tokens).
“WizTelemetry Ruler is an extension component in the KubeSphere Observability Platform that provides event alerting and log alerting capabilities. It can define alerting rules for K8s native events, K8s/KubeSphere auditing events, and K8s logs, evaluate incoming event data and log…”

Installs the WizTelemetry Ruler extension for KubeSphere and manages event, audit and log alerting rules as RuleGroup and ClusterRuleGroup resources. WizTelemetry Ruler adds event alerting and log alerting to the KubeSphere observability platform. It evaluates Kubernetes events, KubeSphere audit events and Kubernetes logs against alerting rules and forwards matching alerts to receivers such as Alertmanager.
WizTelemetry Ruler fits situations like: installing the WizTelemetry Ruler extension on selected KubeSphere clusters; writing alerting rules for Kubernetes events or audit events; creating log-based alerting rules with a RuleGroup; updating or deleting existing alerting rules through the ruler API.
Run `npx skills add kubesphere/kubesphere --skill whizard-telemetry-ruler -a claude-code`. Or copy the skill folder (skills/whizard-telemetry-ruler in kubesphere/kubesphere) into .claude/skills/whizard-telemetry-ruler in your project. Claude Code loads it when a task matches its description.
Run `npx skills add kubesphere/kubesphere --skill whizard-telemetry-ruler -a codex`. Or copy the skill folder (skills/whizard-telemetry-ruler in kubesphere/kubesphere) into .agents/skills/whizard-telemetry-ruler in your project. Codex loads it when a task matches its description.
Cursor, Gemini CLI, GitHub Copilot and OpenCode also load SKILL.md folders. With the skills CLI, run `npx skills add kubesphere/kubesphere --skill whizard-telemetry-ruler -a cursor` (or -a gemini-cli, github-copilot or opencode for the others). To copy it by hand, put the folder in .cursor/skills/whizard-telemetry-ruler, .gemini/skills/whizard-telemetry-ruler, .github/skills/whizard-telemetry-ruler and .opencode/skills/whizard-telemetry-ruler in your project.
Going by SKILL.md and its folder, WizTelemetry Ruler needs the command-line tools its instructions call (curl and kubectl). Our summary lists: A KubeSphere installation with the whizard-telemetry extension; kubectl access to the cluster.
SKILL.md names 1 domain. In commands or code: whizard-telemetry-apiserver.extension-whizard-telemetry.svc; the agent is likely to contact it when it follows the instructions. This is read from the text; nothing was executed.
Our automated static check of SKILL.md found no risky patterns, such as piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files or hidden Unicode. It is not a guarantee. Review the folder before installing.
WizTelemetry Ruler has a licence file (the repository's licence) that doesn't match a standard licence. Read it on GitHub before reusing the skill.
About 6.5k tokens (SKILL.md is roughly 26k characters). Agents keep only the skill's name and description in context until a task matches; then they load SKILL.md in full.
