kubesphere-devops-overviewExplains the KubeSphere DevOps extension: Jenkins-based CI/CD, ArgoCD GitOps, how DevOps projects map to namespaces, and project naming rules.
This skill explains the KubeSphere DevOps extension, which provides CI/CD through Jenkins and supports both graphical pipeline editing and Jenkinsfile pipelines, with ArgoCD integration for GitOps deployment across clusters. It covers setting up pipelines, configuring the Jenkins integration, managing DevOps projects, troubleshooting runs, connecting GitHub, GitLab or SVN repositories and configuring SonarQube for code quality.
Its core idea is resource mapping across KubeSphere, Kubernetes and Jenkins. A KubeSphere DevOps project is really a Kubernetes namespace carrying the `devops.kubesphere.io/managed=true` label, with the DevOpsProject resource as a wrapper, so tenants should list accessible projects through the workspace namespaces endpoint, because the cluster-scoped DevOpsProject endpoint returns 403 for them. Projects also have a short display name and a longer generated full name; API calls use the full name, and when a short name matches several projects the agent asks you to confirm which one.
Projects are tied to a workspace by a label, which the skill shows in YAML. The text available here ends at that point, so later topics such as pipeline troubleshooting steps are not described.
Read from SKILL.md and the folder at commit 04a29b5. It shows what the files ask for, not the result of running them.
Pre-approves nothing: there is no allowed-tools line, so your agent's usual permission prompts apply.
From allowed-tools in the SKILL.md frontmatter.
Shell commands in SKILL.md call:
kubectlhelmFrom the folder's file list and the shell code blocks in SKILL.md.
Links to these hosts (documentation or services it may open):
docs.kubesphere.iojenkins.ioFrom URLs in SKILL.md, links to its own repository left out.
Names no API keys, tokens, secrets or passwords.
From names ending in _API_KEY, _TOKEN, _SECRET, _KEY or _PASSWORD in SKILL.md.
KubeSphere DevOps Overview loads about 3.1k tokens when it runs. Until then it costs about 36 tokens; SKILL.md has 660 words of instructions outside code blocks.
Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.
The automated check found no risky patterns in SKILL.md.
Automated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); files beside SKILL.md are not scanned.
Its licence (Custom licence) doesn't allow us to republish the file, so here is its outline and opening line. It has 660 words (~3,128 tokens).

Going by SKILL.md and its folder, KubeSphere DevOps Overview needs the command-line tools its instructions call (kubectl and helm). Our summary lists: A KubeSphere installation with the DevOps extension enabled.
SKILL.md names 2 domains. As links in the text: docs.kubesphere.io and jenkins.io. This is read from the text; nothing was executed.
Our automated static check of SKILL.md found no risky patterns, such as piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files or hidden Unicode. It is not a guarantee. Review the folder before installing.
KubeSphere DevOps Overview has a licence file (the repository's licence) that doesn't match a standard licence. Read it on GitHub before reusing the skill.
About 3.1k tokens (SKILL.md is roughly 13k characters). Agents keep only the skill's name and description in context until a task matches; then they load SKILL.md in full.
