kubesphere-coreExplains KubeSphere 4.x architecture and API paths, ships an API helper script, and routes requests to the cluster, tenant and extension skills.
This is the entry skill for KubeSphere, a Kubernetes-based platform whose 4.x releases use a microkernel plus extensions design. It describes the three core components: ks-apiserver, which aggregates APIs and handles authentication, authorization and multi-cluster routing; ks-controller-manager, which reconciles resources such as workspaces, projects and users; and ks-console, the React web interface.
For API work it explains the two path prefixes, `/apis/` for the target cluster's kube-apiserver and `/kapis/` for KubeSphere's own API server, and the `/clusters/{cluster-name}/` prefix that forwards a call to a member cluster. The bundled `scripts/ks_api.py` logs in and makes calls, using `requests` and a `KUBESPHERE_HOST` variable. Requests about multi-cluster, multi-tenant or extension management are passed to the kubesphere-cluster-management, kubesphere-multi-tenant-management and kubesphere-extension-management skills.
Read from SKILL.md and the folder at commit 04a29b5. It shows what the files ask for, not the result of running them.
Pre-approves nothing: there is no allowed-tools line, so your agent's usual permission prompts apply.

KubeSphere Core Router loads about 1.3k tokens when it runs. Until then it costs about 86 tokens; SKILL.md has 235 words of instructions outside code blocks.
Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.
The automated check found no risky patterns in SKILL.md.
Automated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); the scripts in this folder are not scanned.
Its licence (Custom licence) doesn't allow us to republish the file, so here is its outline and opening line. It has 235 words (~1,326 tokens).
“KubeSphere is a distributed operating system for cloud-native application management built on Kubernetes. Version 4.x adopts a microkernel + extension architecture (codename LuBan) where the core provides essential functions and independent functional modules are delivered as extensions.”

Explains KubeSphere 4.x architecture and API paths, ships an API helper script, and routes requests to the cluster, tenant and extension skills. x releases use a microkernel plus extensions design. It describes the three core components: ks-apiserver, which aggregates APIs and handles authentication, authorization and multi-cluster routing; ks-controller-manager, which reconciles resources such as workspaces, projects and users; and ks-console, the React web interface.
KubeSphere Core Router fits situations like: asking how KubeSphere's apiserver, controller manager and console fit together; calling the KubeSphere API on a specific member cluster; deciding which KubeSphere skill handles a cluster, tenant or extension request.
Run `npx skills add kubesphere/kubesphere --skill kubesphere-core -a claude-code`. Or copy the skill folder (skills/kubesphere-core in kubesphere/kubesphere) into .claude/skills/kubesphere-core in your project. Claude Code loads it when a task matches its description.
Run `npx skills add kubesphere/kubesphere --skill kubesphere-core -a codex`. Or copy the skill folder (skills/kubesphere-core in kubesphere/kubesphere) into .agents/skills/kubesphere-core in your project. Codex loads it when a task matches its description.
Cursor, Gemini CLI, GitHub Copilot and OpenCode also load SKILL.md folders. With the skills CLI, run `npx skills add kubesphere/kubesphere --skill kubesphere-core -a cursor` (or -a gemini-cli, github-copilot or opencode for the others). To copy it by hand, put the folder in .cursor/skills/kubesphere-core, .gemini/skills/kubesphere-core, .github/skills/kubesphere-core and .opencode/skills/kubesphere-core in your project.
Going by SKILL.md and its folder, KubeSphere Core Router needs Python for the scripts in its folder and the command-line tools its instructions call (python and pip). Our summary lists: Python with the `requests` package; A reachable KubeSphere host set in `KUBESPHERE_HOST`; KubeSphere login credentials.
SKILL.md names 3 domains. As links in the text: dev-guide.kubesphere.io, kubesphere.io and docs.kubesphere.co. This is read from the text; nothing was executed.
Our automated static check of SKILL.md found no risky patterns, such as piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files or hidden Unicode. It is not a guarantee. The check reads SKILL.md only: the scripts in the folder are not scanned, so read them before running anything.
KubeSphere Core Router has a licence file (the repository's licence) that doesn't match a standard licence. Read it on GitHub before reusing the skill.
About 1.3k tokens (SKILL.md is roughly 5.3k characters). Agents keep only the skill's name and description in context until a task matches; then they load SKILL.md in full.
