What it does

This skill plans content calendars that a team can actually execute: what to post, when, on which platform and why. It works from five principles: anchor everything to a goal such as growth, engagement or launch support, mix content types on purpose, keep a cadence the audience and team can sustain, time posts to audience activity and real events, and tailor each platform instead of cross-posting blindly. A starting ratio of about three value posts per promotional post is suggested, tuned to the brand.

The agent first confirms goals, platforms, posting frequency, audience behavior and fixed dates such as launches or holidays, then sets mix and cadence per platform, maps topics to dates so no week is lopsided, assigns each slot a format, platform and suggested time, and leaves slack for timely content. The result is a table or dated list with date, platform, content type or theme, topic or hook, format and posting time, opening with a short note on the strategy and where flexibility is built in. Raw idea generation and writing the posts themselves belong to other skills.

When your agent uses it

  • Building a monthly social media calendar around a product launch
  • Deciding posting cadence and content mix for several platforms
  • Turning a list of topics into a dated schedule

Example prompts

  • “Plan a four-week content calendar for our LinkedIn and Instagram, focused on growth.”
  • “Build a launch-week posting schedule across three platforms, with slack for reactive posts.”
  • “Map these ten blog topics onto the next two months and suggest posting times.”

Workflow steps

5 steps, taken from the first numbered list in SKILL.md.

  1. Confirm goals, platforms, posting frequency, audience behavior, and any fixed dates (launches, events, holidays).
  2. Set the content mix and cadence per platform.
  3. Map specific topics/themes to dates, distributing categories so no week is lopsided.
  4. Assign each slot a format, platform, and suggested time, and note the campaign or theme it supports.
  5. Leave deliberate slack for timely/reactive content rather than packing every slot.

What it can do on your machine

Read from SKILL.md and the folder at commit 4684714. It shows what the files ask for, not the result of running them.

  • Tool permissions

Pre-approves nothing: there is no allowed-tools line, so your agent's usual permission prompts apply.

From allowed-tools in the SKILL.md frontmatter.

  • Runs code

No scripts in the folder and no shell commands in SKILL.md.

From the folder's file list and the shell code blocks in SKILL.md.

  • Network

    No URLs in SKILL.md.

From URLs in SKILL.md, links to its own repository left out.

  • Credentials

Names no API keys, tokens, secrets or passwords.

From names ending in _API_KEY, _TOKEN, _SECRET, _KEY or _PASSWORD in SKILL.md.

Context cost

Content Calendar Planner loads about 568 tokens when it runs. Until then it costs about 26 tokens; SKILL.md has 329 words of instructions outside code blocks.

Always · name and description, kept in context so the agent knows when to use it
~26
When it runs · the whole SKILL.md, loaded when a task matches

Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.

Safety

Auto-check passed

The automated check found no risky patterns in SKILL.md.

Automated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); files beside SKILL.md are not scanned.

SKILL.md

Its licence (Custom licence) doesn't allow us to republish the file, so here is its outline and opening line. It has 329 words (~568 tokens).

“Plan like a content strategist building a calendar the team can actually execute. A good plan balances variety, consistency, and intent — every slot has a reason to exist, and the whole thing ladders up to a goal.”
