alpha-zooBrowses prebuilt cross-sectional factor libraries (Kakushadze 101, GTJA 191, Qlib 158, Fama-French and Carhart) and benchmarks whole libraries with IC and IR over a stock universe.
The skill orients the agent around three tools. alpha_zoo browses the library: it lists alphas filtered by zoo, theme or universe, returns metadata for a named alpha and reports the registry's load status. alpha_bench runs information coefficient and information ratio tests on one alpha or a whole zoo over a universe and period and produces an HTML report. factor_analysis evaluates a factor you supply as a CSV together with a return CSV.
Four zoos are inventoried: kakushadze101 with formulaic alphas from a 2015 paper, gtja191 with A-share focused factors, qlib158 with features tuned for machine learning pipelines, and classical with Fama-French and Carhart factors. Counts are nominal, so a health check gives the live number. Results are aggregate statistics only, with no per-stock per-date factor values exposed, and lookahead is blocked in the operator set.
Read from SKILL.md and the folder at commit b1f6ce7. It shows what the files ask for, not the result of running them.
Pre-approves nothing: there is no allowed-tools line, so your agent's usual permission prompts apply.

Alpha Zoo Factor Libraries loads about 950 tokens when it runs. Until then it costs about 72 tokens; SKILL.md has 451 words of instructions outside code blocks.
Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.
The automated check found no risky patterns in SKILL.md.
Automated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); files beside SKILL.md are not scanned.
The full file from HKUDS/Vibe-Trading at commit b1f6ce7, republished under its MIT licence (© HKUDS). 451 words, ~950 tokens.
.claude/skills/alpha-zoo/SKILL.md (or your agent's skills folder). When the user asks about prebuilt cross-sectional alphas — Kakushadze 101, GTJA 191, Qlib 158, Fama-French / Carhart — or wants to bench a whole zoo on an investable universe (CSI 300, S&P 500, BTC-USDT, ...), this skill orients you. The zoo is the curated library; the bench is the evaluator.

alpha_zoo | Browse the library. action=list_alphas to enumerate (filterable by zoo / theme / universe), action=get_alpha for one alpha's metadata, action=health for registry load status. |
alpha_bench | Run IC / IR on one alpha or a whole zoo over a universe + period. Emits an HTML report. |
factor_analysis | Ad-hoc factor evaluation from a user-supplied factor CSV + return CSV. Use this when the user has their own factor (not in the zoo). |

SKILL.md names no scripts, command-line tools or credentials: Alpha Zoo Factor Libraries is instructions for the agent only. Our summary lists: The alpha_zoo, alpha_bench and factor_analysis tools from the Vibe-Trading project.
SKILL.md contains no URLs. Any network use would come from the scripts or tools the agent runs. This is read from the text; nothing was executed.
Our automated static check of SKILL.md found no risky patterns, such as piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files or hidden Unicode. It is not a guarantee. Review the folder before installing.
Alpha Zoo Factor Libraries is published under the MIT licence (the repository's licence). It allows redistribution, so the full SKILL.md is shown on this page.
About 950 tokens (SKILL.md is roughly 3.8k characters). Agents keep only the skill's name and description in context until a task matches; then they load SKILL.md in full.
