Context Mode Output Sandbox
mksglu/context-mode
Routes large command, file, API and browser output through context-mode tools so only the needed result enters the agent's context, instead of dumping it via Bash.
Shows a markdown dashboard of basemind activity in the session: tool call counts, top operations and estimated tokens saved against a grep and Read baseline.

basemind-statsShows a markdown dashboard of basemind activity in the session: tool call counts, top operations and estimated tokens saved against a grep and Read baseline.
When you ask what basemind has done or run `/bm-stats`, the agent calls the `admin` tool in `telemetry` mode for a time window (today by default, or 1h, 24h or all) and renders the response as a markdown report with the number of tool calls, the top operations and the estimated tokens saved against a hypothetical grep plus Read baseline. If there were no calls, it says so plainly and does not invent rows.
Token savings are always labeled as heuristics, with a closing sentence explaining that tools with no realistic baseline, such as memory, document search and git wrappers, report zero saved. Asking for `--explain` adds the per-baseline breakdown and names the estimator's source file. The skill is user-invoked only, so the dashboard is never shown automatically at the start of a conversation.
4 steps, taken from the first numbered list in SKILL.md.
Read from SKILL.md and the folder at commit 2f6da31. It shows what the files ask for, not the result of running them.
Pre-approves nothing: there is no allowed-tools line, so your agent's usual permission prompts apply.

Basemind Usage Stats loads about 558 tokens when it runs. Until then it costs about 87 tokens; SKILL.md has 240 words of instructions outside code blocks.
Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.
The automated check found no risky patterns in SKILL.md.
Automated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); files beside SKILL.md are not scanned.
The full file from Goldziher/basemind at commit 2f6da31, republished under its MIT licence (© Goldziher). 240 words, ~558 tokens.
.claude/skills/basemind-stats/SKILL.md (or your agent's skills folder).Call admin mode telemetry and render the result as a markdown report.
The user asks "what has basemind done?", "how much is basemind helping?", "show me basemind
stats", or invokes /bm-stats directly. This skill is strictly user-invoked — see Notes.
Call admin { "mode": "telemetry", "window": "today" } (the default). If the
user asks for a specific range, map it to one of "today", "1h", "24h",
"all".
Render a markdown block in this shape:
## basemind activity (today)
- **N tool calls** ; top operations: code:outline (18), code:symbols (12), …
- **~K tokens saved** vs grep + Read baseline
- recent: code:outline (4ms, 312B), code:symbols (2ms, 180B), …If total_calls is 0, say so plainly ("no basemind activity in the window yet").
Don't pretend to have data.
Always disclose the savings model. Add one sentence at the end:
Savings are heuristics. Tools with no realistic baseline (memory, document search, git wrappers) report 0 saved — see the
saved_baselinecolumn on each row.
The exact wording can vary; the principle (it's an estimate, here's why) cannot.
If they invoke /bm-stats --explain or ask how the savings number is
derived, include the per-baseline breakdown from the per_baseline field of the
response and call out which tools fall into which bucket. The estimator lives in
src/mcp/savings.rs if they want to read the code.
recent is empty, say so; don't invent example rows.© Goldziher, MIT. Rendered from Markdown: HTML in the file is shown as text, images as links, and headings moved down two levels. Raw file

Basemind Usage Stats fits situations like: checking how many basemind tool calls ran in the current session; seeing which basemind operations are used most; understanding how the estimated token savings number is derived.

SKILL.md names no scripts, command-line tools or credentials: Basemind Usage Stats is instructions for the agent only. Our summary lists: The basemind MCP server connected to the agent.
SKILL.md contains no URLs. Any network use would come from the scripts or tools the agent runs. This is read from the text; nothing was executed.
Our automated static check of SKILL.md found no risky patterns, such as piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files or hidden Unicode. It is not a guarantee. Review the folder before installing.

About 558 tokens (SKILL.md is roughly 2.2k characters). Agents keep only the skill's name and description in context until a task matches; then they load SKILL.md in full.
