At a glance

Turns a vague UI request into a concrete design system with style, palette, typography and layout guidance from a search script, plus stack-specific implementation advice.

  • Works in 5 steps: Infer the request shape → Generate the design system first → Pull targeted guidance only when needed → …
  • Designing a landing page or dashboard from a rough brief
  • SKILL.md covers Role, Core workflow, Default output shape and Safety rules, plus 1 more section
  • Runs Python scripts from its folder; calls python3

What it does

The agent first infers the product type, industry, style keywords, target platform and stack, defaulting to html-tailwind when none is given. It then runs scripts/search.py with --design-system to produce a compact recommendation covering style direction, palette family, typography, interaction and visual effects, layout bias and anti-patterns to avoid. For multi-page work, --persist saves design-system/MASTER.md and optional per-page overrides under design-system/pages/.

Targeted lookups use --domain with product, style, color, typography, landing, chart or ux, and --stack adds guidance for html-tailwind, React, Next.js, Vue, Svelte, SwiftUI and others. The skill is about sharper execution once the product direction is roughly known and does not replace product strategy or user research. A CSV of UI reasoning rules and a usage reference are bundled.

When your agent uses it

  • Designing a landing page or dashboard from a rough brief
  • Choosing colors and typography for a product
  • Reviewing a UI and fixing UX and accessibility problems
  • Keeping one design system consistent across several pages

Example prompts

  • “Design a dashboard for a fintech app and generate a design system first.”
  • “Review this signup page for UX and accessibility issues and suggest fixes.”
  • “Pick a palette and typography for a meditation app landing page and save the design system for later pages.”

Requirements

  • Python 3, to run scripts/search.py

Workflow steps

5 steps, taken from the step headings in SKILL.md.

  1. Infer the request shape
  2. Generate the design system first
  3. Pull targeted guidance only when needed
  4. Add stack-specific guidance before coding
  5. Synthesize before implementation

What it can do on your machine

Read from SKILL.md and the folder at commit 9037873. It shows what the files ask for, not the result of running them.

  • Tool permissions

Pre-approves nothing: there is no allowed-tools line, so your agent's usual permission prompts apply.

From allowed-tools in the SKILL.md frontmatter.

  • Runs code

Ships 1 file in scripts/ (Python), which the agent can run.

    Shell commands in SKILL.md call:

    • python3

From the folder's file list and the shell code blocks in SKILL.md.

  • Network

    No URLs in SKILL.md.

From URLs in SKILL.md, links to its own repository left out.

  • Credentials

Names no API keys, tokens, secrets or passwords.

From names ending in _API_KEY, _TOKEN, _SECRET, _KEY or _PASSWORD in SKILL.md.

Context cost

UI/UX Design System Advisor loads about 1.1k tokens when it runs, and up to ~1.2k if it reads all its reference files. Until then it costs about 61 tokens; SKILL.md has 380 words of instructions outside code blocks.

Always · name and description, kept in context so the agent knows when to use it
~61
When it runs · the whole SKILL.md, loaded when a task matches
~1.1k
With references · SKILL.md plus every file in references/, read only if the agent opens them
~1.2k

Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.

Safety

Auto-check passed

The automated check found no risky patterns in SKILL.md.

Automated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); the scripts in this folder are not scanned.

UI/UX Pro Max

Use this skill to turn a vague UI request into a concrete design system plus implementation guidance.

Role

This skill is for:

  • design-system selection,
  • palette and typography choices,
  • UX review and remediation,
  • stack-aware frontend implementation guidance,
  • lightweight design-system persistence for multi-page work.

It is not a replacement for product strategy or user research. Use it to make execution sharper after the product direction is already roughly known.

Core workflow

1. Infer the request shape

Extract the minimum design signals first:

  • product type,
  • industry,
  • style keywords,
  • target platform,
  • implementation stack.

If the user does not specify a stack, default to html-tailwind.

2. Generate the design system first

Use the helper script to produce a compact design recommendation:

bash
python3 "${CLAUDE_PLUGIN_ROOT}/skills/ui-ux-pro-max/scripts/search.py" "<product_type> <industry> <keywords>" --design-system -p "Project Name"

This produces:

  • recommended style direction,
  • palette family,
  • typography direction,
  • interaction / visual effects,
  • landing or layout bias,
  • anti-patterns to avoid.

If the work spans multiple turns or pages, persist the design system:

bash
python3 "${CLAUDE_PLUGIN_ROOT}/skills/ui-ux-pro-max/scripts/search.py" "<query>" --design-system --persist -p "Project Name"
python3 "${CLAUDE_PLUGIN_ROOT}/skills/ui-ux-pro-max/scripts/search.py" "<query>" --design-system --persist -p "Project Name" --page "dashboard"

This creates:

  • design-system/MASTER.md
  • optional page-level override notes under design-system/pages/
3. Pull targeted guidance only when needed

Use a focused search instead of loading everything at once:

bash
python3 "${CLAUDE_PLUGIN_ROOT}/skills/ui-ux-pro-max/scripts/search.py" "glassmorphism dark" --domain style
python3 "${CLAUDE_PLUGIN_ROOT}/skills/ui-ux-pro-max/scripts/search.py" "animation accessibility" --domain ux
python3 "${CLAUDE_PLUGIN_ROOT}/skills/ui-ux-pro-max/scripts/search.py" "real-time dashboard" --domain chart
python3 "${CLAUDE_PLUGIN_ROOT}/skills/ui-ux-pro-max/scripts/search.py" "elegant luxury serif" --domain typography

Supported domains:

  • product
  • style
  • color
  • typography
  • landing
  • chart
  • ux
4. Add stack-specific guidance before coding
bash
python3 "${CLAUDE_PLUGIN_ROOT}/skills/ui-ux-pro-max/scripts/search.py" "forms table responsive" --stack html-tailwind

Supported stacks:

  • html-tailwind
  • react
  • nextjs
  • vue
  • svelte
  • swiftui
  • react-native
  • flutter
  • shadcn
  • jetpack-compose
5. Synthesize before implementation

After gathering the design system, convert it into:

  • layout structure,
  • component rules,
  • visual tokens,
  • interaction rules,
  • accessibility constraints,
  • implementation notes for the chosen stack.

Do not dump raw search output into the final answer. Use it to justify a coherent design direction.

Default output shape

A good response should usually include:

  1. product and UI framing,
  2. recommended style system,
  3. palette and typography,
  4. component and layout rules,
  5. accessibility and interaction checks,
  6. stack-aware implementation notes.

Safety rules

  • Do not hardcode a design language without connecting it to the product type.
  • Do not use emoji as primary UI iconography.
  • Do not weaken text contrast for visual flair.
  • Do not scale interactive cards on hover if it destabilizes layout.
  • Do not use animation that violates prefers-reduced-motion.
  • Do not invent unsupported helper scripts or datasets; use the bundled search.py and data/ui-reasoning.csv only.

References

Load only what is needed:

  • references/USAGE.md - recommended command patterns and retrieval flow
  • data/ui-reasoning.csv - compact product-to-design heuristics used by the helper script
  • scripts/search.py - deterministic helper for design-system, domain, and stack lookup
