ymos-diagnosisDiagnoses whether an investor's stated strategy can actually be expressed, falsified, risk-budgeted, executed and audited, without recommending any trade.
This skill acts as a strategy-structure diagnostician rather than an advisor: it never recommends securities or specific trades, predicts returns or market direction, chooses a strategy family for the user, sets position sizes or stop levels, judges whether a concrete holding is good, or promises any outcome. Instead it returns the structural conflicts and choices it finds back to the user rather than making value-laden tradeoffs on their behalf.
It offers two modes: diagnosing one investment question or decision process, or auditing the user's entire decision system, asking which is wanted unless the request already makes it obvious. For a single question it runs a five-layer check in order - whether key words like good or safe are operationally defined, which unstated assumptions the question depends on, whether entry, invalidation, sizing and horizon rely on compatible judgments, which premises are verified versus merely opinions, and whether scope, evidence, invalidation, risk budget, horizon and an explicit human choice are all present - stopping as soon as the original question dissolves and stating exactly why.
It classifies the result as well-formed (structurally answerable, though answering the investment itself stays out of scope), underspecified, or another category, and reads additional reference files on strategy families or historical inconsistency patterns only when the user's situation actually calls for them.
2 steps, taken from the first numbered list in SKILL.md.
Read from SKILL.md and the folder at commit fce3769. It shows what the files ask for, not the result of running them.
Pre-approves nothing: there is no allowed-tools line, so your agent's usual permission prompts apply.
From allowed-tools in the SKILL.md frontmatter.
No scripts in the folder and no shell commands in SKILL.md (its code samples are markdown).
From the folder's file list and the shell code blocks in SKILL.md.
No URLs in SKILL.md.
From URLs in SKILL.md, links to its own repository left out.
Names no API keys, tokens, secrets or passwords.
From names ending in _API_KEY, _TOKEN, _SECRET, _KEY or _PASSWORD in SKILL.md.
Investment Strategy Structure Diagnostician loads about 2.2k tokens when it runs, and up to ~4k if it reads all its reference files. Until then it costs about 96 tokens; SKILL.md has 1,004 words of instructions outside code blocks.
Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.
The automated check found no risky patterns in SKILL.md.
Automated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); files beside SKILL.md are not scanned.
Its licence (Custom licence) doesn't allow us to republish the file, so here is its outline and opening line. It has 1,004 words (~2,170 tokens).

Investment Strategy Structure Diagnostician fits situations like: checking whether an investment strategy's rules are internally consistent; finding why your own trading execution keeps drifting from the plan; auditing a whole personal investment decision system for gaps.
Run `npx skills add Evan-XYZ/YMOS --skill ymos-diagnosis -a claude-code`. Or copy the skill folder (Brain/ymos-diagnosis in Evan-XYZ/YMOS) into .claude/skills/ymos-diagnosis in your project. Claude Code loads it when a task matches its description.
Run `npx skills add Evan-XYZ/YMOS --skill ymos-diagnosis -a codex`. Or copy the skill folder (Brain/ymos-diagnosis in Evan-XYZ/YMOS) into .agents/skills/ymos-diagnosis in your project. Codex loads it when a task matches its description.
Cursor, Gemini CLI, GitHub Copilot and OpenCode also load SKILL.md folders. With the skills CLI, run `npx skills add Evan-XYZ/YMOS --skill ymos-diagnosis -a cursor` (or -a gemini-cli, github-copilot or opencode for the others). To copy it by hand, put the folder in .cursor/skills/ymos-diagnosis, .gemini/skills/ymos-diagnosis, .github/skills/ymos-diagnosis and .opencode/skills/ymos-diagnosis in your project.
SKILL.md names no scripts, command-line tools or credentials: Investment Strategy Structure Diagnostician is instructions for the agent only.
SKILL.md contains no URLs. Any network use would come from the scripts or tools the agent runs. This is read from the text; nothing was executed.
Our automated static check of SKILL.md found no risky patterns, such as piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files or hidden Unicode. It is not a guarantee. Review the folder before installing.
Investment Strategy Structure Diagnostician has a licence file (the repository's licence) that doesn't match a standard licence. Read it on GitHub before reusing the skill.
About 2.2k tokens (SKILL.md is roughly 8.7k characters). Agents keep only the skill's name and description in context until a task matches; then they load SKILL.md in full. Its references folder adds about 1.9k tokens, read only when the agent opens those files.
