Kdd Submission is an agent skill from brycewang-stanford/Awesome-Journal-Skills. Use when auditing a KDD submission for readiness in either cycle, covering Research vs ADS track declaration, OpenReview profile completeness for all authors, the ACM sigconf 8-content-page budget, double-blind checks, in-paper artifact references, resubmission declarations, and desk-reject triggers specific to ACM SIGKDD.
Its SKILL.md is about 1.8k tokens, which your agent loads only when the skill is triggered. It is a single SKILL.md file with no bundled scripts.
The repository describes itself as: Journal-specific Claude Code/Codex skill packs covering mainstream journals — AER, QJE, Nature, Cell, 管理世界, 经济研究 & 200+ more — your fast track to getting published. | 覆盖主流期刊的… The licence is MIT.
6 steps, taken from the first numbered list in SKILL.md.
Read from SKILL.md and the folder at commit 932eb23. It shows what the files ask for, not the result of running them.
Pre-approves nothing: there is no allowed-tools line, so your agent's usual permission prompts apply.
From allowed-tools in the SKILL.md frontmatter.
No scripts in the folder and no shell commands in SKILL.md (its code samples are latex).
From the folder's file list and the shell code blocks in SKILL.md.
No URLs in SKILL.md.
From URLs in SKILL.md, links to its own repository left out.
Names no API keys, tokens, secrets or passwords.
From names ending in _API_KEY, _TOKEN, _SECRET, _KEY or _PASSWORD in SKILL.md.
Kdd Submission loads about 1.8k tokens when it runs. Until then it costs about 85 tokens; SKILL.md has 891 words of instructions outside code blocks.
Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.
The automated check found no risky patterns in SKILL.md.
Automated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); files beside SKILL.md are not scanned.

.claude/skills/kdd-submission/SKILL.md (or your agent's skills folder).Run this audit twice: once when the abstract is registered, once before the full-paper deadline. KDD's abstract and paper deadlines are about a week apart in each cycle (2026 Cycle 1: July 24 / July 31, 2025; Cycle 2: February 1 / February 8, 2026, all AoE), and several failure modes below are only fixable in that gap. Reopen the current track CFP first — every number here is a 2026-cycle anchor, not a permanent rule.
kdd-topic-selection before anything else.KDD 2026 required a complete OpenReview profile for every listed author, not just the submitter: institutional affiliations covering at least the past five years, homepage, DBLP link where prior publications exist, ORCID, advisors, and recent publications. Incomplete co-author profiles are a pre-deadline blocker that no one person can fix alone — chase them at abstract time, not on deadline night.
The Research Track submission is 8 content pages, followed by references and an optional appendix, in the double-column ACM format:
% KDD 2026 Research Track recommended setting (verify against the current CFP)
\documentclass[sigconf,anonymous,review]{acmart}
% - sigconf: ACM conference two-column layout
% - anonymous: strips author block for double-blind review
% - review: adds line numbers reviewers cite in their reports
% Do NOT tweak \baselineskip, margins, or font sizes; ACM/TAPS tooling and
% chairs both detect a modified acmart.| Trigger | Track affected | Severity | Fixable after deadline? |
|---|---|---|---|
| Missing post-launch performance quantification | ADS | Desk reject per the 2026 CFP | No |
| Content pages over the budget | Both | Desk-level | No |
| Identity leak in PDF, appendix, or repo | Both | Desk-level or chair flag | No |
| Incomplete co-author OpenReview profile | Both | Submission blocked or flagged | Only before deadline |
| Undeclared resubmission of a Resubmit paper | Both | Loses resubmission standing | No |
| Same paper in Research and ADS | Both | Rejection of both | No |
| Repository link absent from PDF | Both | Not fatal, but unrepairable in rebuttal | No |
Research_Track_Cycle_2 group is not the ADS group).A payments team submits their deployed risk model to the ADS track. The draft's evaluation section leads with offline AUC across four benchmark datasets — strong work, but the post-launch numbers sit in a single sentence inside the conclusion ("since launch, chargebacks decreased"). Under the 2026 ADS rule this reads as unquantified deployment evidence: no metric definition, no window, no baseline period. The audit fix costs one evening, not one experiment:
The general lesson: at submission time, audit findability of the track's gate evidence, not just its existence.

SKILL.md names no scripts, command-line tools or credentials: Kdd Submission is instructions for the agent only.
SKILL.md contains no URLs. Any network use would come from the scripts or tools the agent runs. This is read from the text; nothing was executed.
Our automated static check of SKILL.md found no risky patterns, such as piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files or hidden Unicode. It is not a guarantee. Review the folder before installing.
Kdd Submission is published under the MIT licence (the repository's licence). It allows redistribution, so the full SKILL.md is shown on this page.
About 1.8k tokens (SKILL.md is roughly 7.2k characters). Agents keep only the skill's name and description in context until a task matches; then they load SKILL.md in full.
