1688-product-detailExtracts wholesale product data from 1688.com offer pages, including tiered prices, SKU variants, seller info, promotions and review stats, with bundled Python scripts.
With a 1688.com product page open in the browser, the agent pulls more than 50 fields from embedded page data and network capture: title, tiered pricing, images, seller stats, attributes, cross-border flags, buyer protection and review stats. Separate scripts handle each area, with extract-product-detail.py for core data, extract-sku-details.py for color and model variants with weight and dimensions, extract-promotions.py for coupons and extract-seller-params.py for the seller shop card. Each prints JavaScript that is run with eval in bash, given the numeric offer ID.
Product pages need no login, since the data is publicly shown, and the skill only reads what the page already displays without bypassing any access controls. It depends on the browser-act tool, which it loads first through the Skill tool, and progress messages follow the user's language. Typical uses are bulk collection from a list of offer IDs, monitoring supplier metrics and reading price tiers for resale analysis.
4 steps, taken from the first numbered list in SKILL.md.
Read from SKILL.md and the folder at commit 11c057b. It shows what the files ask for, not the result of running them.
Pre-approves nothing: there is no allowed-tools line, so your agent's usual permission prompts apply.
From allowed-tools in the SKILL.md frontmatter.
Ships 4 files in scripts/ (Python), which the agent can run.
Shell commands in SKILL.md call:

Hosts in commands or code, which the agent is likely to contact:

Names no API keys, tokens, secrets or passwords.
From names ending in _API_KEY, _TOKEN, _SECRET, _KEY or _PASSWORD in SKILL.md.
1688 Product Detail Extractor loads about 3.3k tokens when it runs. Until then it costs about 215 tokens; SKILL.md has 937 words of instructions outside code blocks.
Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.
The automated check found no risky patterns in SKILL.md.
Automated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); the scripts in this folder are not scanned.

Before execution: If the file exists, read it first — it records unexpected situations encountered during past executions (e.g., a strategy has become ineffective); adjust strategy order accordingly.
After execution: If an unexpected situation is encountered (strategy became ineffective, page redesigned, anti-scraping upgraded, better path discovered), append a line:
{YYYY-MM-DD}: {what happened} → {conclusion}
Normal execution does not write to the file. Do not record what keywords were used or how many results were returned — those are task outputs, not experience.

Going by SKILL.md and its folder, 1688 Product Detail Extractor needs Python for the scripts in its folder and the command-line tools its instructions call (python). Our summary lists: The browser-act tool; Python 3, to run the extraction scripts; bash, since the scripts are run through eval.
SKILL.md names 3 domains. In commands or code: detail.1688.com, shop1460393846166.1688.com and cbu01.alicdn.com; the agent is likely to contact these when it follows the instructions. This is read from the text; nothing was executed.
Our automated static check of SKILL.md found no risky patterns, such as piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files or hidden Unicode. It is not a guarantee. The check reads SKILL.md only: the scripts in the folder are not scanned, so read them before running anything.
1688 Product Detail Extractor is published under the MIT licence (the repository's licence). It allows redistribution, so the full SKILL.md is shown on this page.
About 3.3k tokens (SKILL.md is roughly 13k characters). Agents keep only the skill's name and description in context until a task matches; then they load SKILL.md in full.
