registry-browserSearches watched registries for community legal skills, shows matches with descriptions and offers the full SKILL.md before anything is installed.
The skill reads a list of watched registries from the legal-builder-hub plugin's `CLAUDE.md` configuration and searches each one. For GitHub repositories it fetches the `skills/` directory listing and the name and description from each SKILL.md; for marketplace-style registries it fetches the index. Indexes are cached locally in `references/registry-cache.json` and refreshed when older than 7 days or when you ask.
Searching is a plain keyword match on names and descriptions, with browsing by category where a registry has categories, and results show how many skills were found across how many registries. You can ask to see any match's full SKILL.md before deciding. To add a registry, you give a URL, the agent checks that it holds a skills or `.claude-plugin` folder, shows what is inside and adds it to the watchlist after you confirm. The default watched registry is lpm-skills, with 14 practice-agnostic legal project management skills.
It does not install anything, which is left to the skill-installer, it does not rate or review skills, and it does not search beyond the watched registries.

Legal Skills Registry Browser loads about 620 tokens when it runs, and up to ~739 if it reads all its reference files. Until then it costs about 76 tokens; SKILL.md has 245 words of instructions outside code blocks.
Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.
The automated check found no risky patterns in SKILL.md.
Automated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); files beside SKILL.md are not scanned.
The full file from anthropics/claude-for-legal at commit 4a6c651, republished under its Apache-2.0 licence (© anthropics). 245 words, ~620 tokens.

SKILL.md names no scripts, command-line tools or credentials: Legal Skills Registry Browser is instructions for the agent only. Our summary lists: The legal-builder-hub plugin configuration with a watched registries list; Network access to the registries.
SKILL.md contains no URLs. Any network use would come from the scripts or tools the agent runs. This is read from the text; nothing was executed.
Our automated static check of SKILL.md found no risky patterns, such as piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files or hidden Unicode. It is not a guarantee. Review the folder before installing.
Legal Skills Registry Browser is published under the Apache-2.0 licence (the repository's licence). It allows redistribution, so the full SKILL.md is shown on this page.
About 620 tokens (SKILL.md is roughly 2.5k characters). Agents keep only the skill's name and description in context until a task matches; then they load SKILL.md in full. Its references folder adds about 119 tokens, read only when the agent opens those files.
