external-contextBreaks a research question into two to five facets and sends parallel document-specialist agents to search the web and documentation, then merges the results.
Give it a topic or question and it splits the work into between two and five independent search facets. One document-specialist agent per facet is started through the Task tool, all in parallel, and each is told to search with WebSearch and WebFetch for relevant material on its own slice of the question.
Once the agents report back, the results are combined into a single write-up titled External Context, with a Key Findings section. The skill runs only when you call it by name with the /oh-my-claudecode:external-context command, there is no keyword trigger, and no more than five agents run at the same time.
3 steps, taken from the step headings in SKILL.md.
Read from SKILL.md and the folder at commit 454bae0. It shows what the files ask for, not the result of running them.
Pre-approves nothing: there is no allowed-tools line, so your agent's usual permission prompts apply.
From allowed-tools in the SKILL.md frontmatter.
No scripts in the folder and no shell commands in SKILL.md (its code samples are markdown).
From the folder's file list and the shell code blocks in SKILL.md.
No URLs in SKILL.md.
From URLs in SKILL.md, links to its own repository left out.
Names no API keys, tokens, secrets or passwords.
From names ending in _API_KEY, _TOKEN, _SECRET, _KEY or _PASSWORD in SKILL.md.
External Context Research loads about 545 tokens when it runs. Until then it costs about 28 tokens; SKILL.md has 80 words of instructions outside code blocks.
Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.
The automated check found no risky patterns in SKILL.md.
Automated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); files beside SKILL.md are not scanned.
The full file from Yeachan-Heo/oh-my-claudecode at commit 454bae0, republished under its MIT licence (© Yeachan-Heo). 80 words, ~545 tokens.

Nhahan/WebGPT
Hands bounded tasks from Codex to a signed-in ChatGPT web session at a chosen reasoning level, or opens a terminal chat in your project that you control.
WrongStack/WrongStack
A skill your agent uses when searching the web for current, up-to-date data during a research phase — version checks, ecosystem changes, API deprecations, tool comparisons, or any claim that needs…
getpaseo/paseo
Launches one separate agent through Paseo to give a second opinion on the current task, with a self-contained briefing and no permission to edit files.
openobserve/openobserve
Splits a change into planner, coder and independent reviewer roles: you confirm a spec, a subagent implements it, and a separate reviewer checks each round's local WIP commit.
revfactory/harness
Designs a project-specific agent harness: defines specialist agents, writes the skills they follow, picks an execution mode and model for each, and keeps the setup maintained.
win4r/ClawTeam-OpenClaw
Launches a swarm of specialist Hermes agents in git-worktree-isolated tmux windows with a kanban board and file-based inboxes, using built-in templates like hedge-fund and code-review.
Yeachan-Heo/oh-my-claudecode
Sends a question or task to another locally installed agent CLI, such as Codex or Gemini, through omc ask and saves the answer as a file.
Yeachan-Heo/oh-my-claudecode
Charts a foggy effort into a map of decision tickets on the repo's issue tracker and works through them one per session, producing decisions rather than deliverables.
Yeachan-Heo/oh-my-claudecode
Runs an autonomous improvement loop on a repository: agents propose and execute plans, a tournament picks the winner by benchmark, and each round is recorded and plotted.
Yeachan-Heo/oh-my-claudecode
Takes a short product idea through requirements, design, planning, parallel implementation, QA cycles and multi-reviewer validation to produce working code.
Yeachan-Heo/oh-my-claudecode
Detects and gracefully cancels whichever OMC mode, autopilot, ralph, swarm, pipeline, or team, is currently active, then clears its state.
Yeachan-Heo/oh-my-claudecode
Maps a codebase directory by directory and writes linked AGENTS.md files, each pointing to its parent, to document what each area contains.

External Context Research fits situations like: comparing two libraries or tools before choosing one; collecting official documentation on one topic from several angles at once; researching best practices that span more than one area, such as security and performance.

SKILL.md names no scripts, command-line tools or credentials: External Context Research is instructions for the agent only. Our summary lists: The oh-my-claudecode plugin with its document-specialist agent; Web search and fetch access for the agents.
SKILL.md contains no URLs. Any network use would come from the scripts or tools the agent runs. This is read from the text; nothing was executed.
Our automated static check of SKILL.md found no risky patterns, such as piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files or hidden Unicode. It is not a guarantee. Review the folder before installing.
External Context Research is published under the MIT licence (the repository's licence). It allows redistribution, so the full SKILL.md is shown on this page.
About 545 tokens (SKILL.md is roughly 2.2k characters). Agents keep only the skill's name and description in context until a task matches; then they load SKILL.md in full.
